Sounds like a good time was had by all!

I've just updated my "British Comic Sales Figures - The Good Old Days Page" with a snapshot of reported sales in 1984: http://downthetubes.net/?page_id=9082 (thanks to Richard Sheaf for this). This addition notes the cancellation of Whoopee, whose circulation had dropped to 81,547!! from the previous years sales of 112, 341. In the sector only Buster, Girl and My Guy (of the IPC titles, DCT comics like Beano not included) were selling over 100,000

Many moons ago, Mike Gent kindly took a trip back to the 1970s and remembered just one of many IPC humour titles, Cor!!, for downthetubes. Lost in various updates over time, I've finally restored the feature. Thank you, Mike! http://downthetubes.net/?page_id=37736
