Exciting!

I see that there's an OGL 5e game published by Cubicle 7 that's coming out. This is cool.

What intrigues me for the moment is the little red d20 at the top of the book. My impression of the OGL is that you are not allowed to claim compatibility. Or maybe it's that you're not allowed to claim compatibility with "Dungeons and Dragons."

Obviously, with my SRD5.1 Dragon Heresy game inching towards completion, I have an interest in resolving this question: What's allowed? I've seen a few logos that say "5e Compatible," which would be vera vera niiice to have on my book.
Adventures in Middle-earth™ is our brand new range of setting supplements for Middle-earth gaming using the OGL. Cubicle 7 and Sophisticated Games achieved huge success and numerous awards with our…

Windmill Fight!
Last night, my Wednesday night group fought some [spoilers!] at the windmill in our Curse of Strahd campaign. Using my +Dwarven Forge city tiles, this is the closest I could get to a windmill. The second floor has balconies on each wall since the windmill is supposed to have a rickety scaffolding around the building at that level and I wanted something for the miniatures to stand on. While the [spoilers!] started the fight inside the windmill, all of the actual fighting happened outside and/or on top of the windmill, which was a lot of fun!

Future Paleontologist
Our future paleontologist lived up to the name today by digging through dirt in the park. Not only did she get it all over her face, but she got it in her hair, and I swear at one point, I saw her just rubbing it all over her arms.

A fine park with a fun walk that leads out into the water to a swimming platform; however, this park is often crowded. The playground is inadequate with a few swings and a play structure that is really just a holding platform for the line that forms for the single slide. On Fridays in the summer, the parking lot gets converted to a Farmer's Market which often has a live band and several food vendors. The Farmer's Market is actually rather small with limited options, but it is fun being able to walk to it. If you want to avoid crowds, visit the adjacent Juanita Bay Park. It may not have a beach or a playground, but it is very walkable with lots of wildlife to view.

The best theater going experience you are going to find, especially for a date night! The simple fact that they have reserved seating means that you can arrive late to your movie and be sure that you're seats will be there. And if you arrive early, get a drink (beer/wine/liquor) and food at the lounge! You can also bring all of that with you into the theater. The seats are incredibly comfortable, and if you spend a little more, you can secure one of the recliners in the back where the staff will actually come to you to take your orders.

I loved this place. The food was fantastic, the drinks were unique and not watered down, and I absolutely loved the live music. The kids' menu had excellent healthy options and the staff treated my daughter well. I could have done without the photographer. Sure, I get that people want souvenirs of their vacation, but it wasn't for me.

Excellent fish and chips within walking distance of my house and Juanita Beach Park. The dining area is in need of some love, the bathrooms are not great, and the staff is generally grumpy, but I keep coming back.
