If you have a minute, please sign up for our Baseball Ireland Moneybomb Fundraiser. It takes 30 seconds and it costs NOTHING. Seriously. We will ask you to donate $1 on MLB Opening Day (Apr 6), but you don't have to donate.

We just need people to sign up and ask a few friends to sign up as well. If we can get several thousand people to sign up, we can raise ALOT of money through $1 donations on April 6.

Again, we aren't asking you to donate. Just sign up and share with your friends via Google+, LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter and email. Thanks! http://baseballunitedfoundation.org/join-our-baseball-ireland-grand-slam-moneybomb-fundraiser/

Baseball Exchange Program, Day 7

The +Baseball United Foundation  brought 14-year old baseball player Liam Shier to America, as part of our Baseball Exchange Program. Liam spent one week playing and practicing his baseball skills at camps, academies and games in New York and Rhode Island.

These photos are from the seventh and final day of Liam's visit to America. Liam's morning started off with a camp organized by coach Brian Smith of Sandlot Sports. After a few hours of hitting, pitching and fielding instruction with other campers, Liam was given a private hitting lesson with Coach Smith.

The primary purpose of the trip was to make Liam a better baseball player. The secondary purpose was to raise awareness that, yes, baseball IS played in Ireland and the Baseball United Foundation is raising money to send donated equipment to youth programs throughout Ireland.

Baseball Exchange Program, Day 6

The +Baseball United Foundation  brought 14-year old baseball player Liam Shier to America, as part of our Baseball Exchange Program. Liam spent one week playing and practicing his baseball skills at camps, academies and games in New York and Rhode Island.

These photos are from the sixth day of Liam's visit to America. Liam's day started with a visit to Dutchess Stadium, home of the Tampa Bay Rays' minor league affiliate, Hudson Valley Renegades. At the stadium, Liam was reunited with legendary MLB scout John Tumminia. Liam and Mr. Tumminia originally met each other at a clinic in Dublin in January 2014. Liam and a few other players were given a workout by Tumminia and former MLB pitcher Joe Ausanio.

Later that day, Liam visited MLB Network studios in New Jersey, thanks to Radegen Sports, Heidi Watney, and Sean Casey. Liam was able to see Studio 42 and lots of cool behind-the-scenes stuff, in addition to meeting Sean Casey and Brian Kenny.

The primary purpose of the trip was to make Liam a better baseball player. The secondary purpose was to raise awareness that, yes, baseball IS played in Ireland and the Baseball United Foundation is raising money to send donated equipment to youth programs throughout Ireland.
