Myanmar has beautiful beaches - but they are now threatened by greed & corruption.  Please support the petition to President U Thein Sein asking him to take action:
And see the revealing photos of beach destruction in action.

Australian, long-term resident of Thailand
Australian citizen, resident of Thailand since 1977. Spent the 10 years prior to that in Laos, Cambodia & Vietnam, where began work as photographer in the last years of the war.

Began publishing in Thailand in 1985, and over 20 years I had a small stable of colour magazines, most related to tourism, till digital technology began eating away the foundations of print media. Then the tsunami, followed by some greedy Chinese businessmen, finished off the publishing business. Now in 2015, only one of my magazine start-ups remains alive (just) under the new masters, SEA Yachting.

The move to digital technology was a natural one, with The Beachfront Club focused on a topic I know well.  My Chinese wife Jade and I have struggled for years with little money, building a big and sophisticated 'beaches' website.  Following the launch of the 'completed' site in March 2014, we are fully engaged in marketing and promotion.

I have two big sons, Ananda & Chester, with my first wife from Laos, Keo.  Jade and I have a young son Zennith.

We still live in the heart of Bangkok, overlooking the Chao Phraya River, directly opposite the Shangri La Hotel, and in the shadow of the Peninsula Hotel.  It's a great location to enjoy sunset drinks with friends.

Call by for a cool sunset beer ....

Bragging rights
Like lots of 18-year old boys I was runing around Vietnam in 1968. But I had long hair and a camera in hand, not a gun.
