YOU GUYS ARE AWESOME: Readers donated $17K to a group in Vietnam - which has now pledged to make Vietnam's first pangolin PSA with the money. This could make a real difference for an endangered animal that's trafficked by the ton. A heartfelt THANK YOU!

A CNN reader created a +Change.org petition asking +DisneyPixar to put a pangolin in a movie. +1,400 signatures so far. I think it's a fantastic idea - and could really go a long way toward saving this underdog species. Agree? Sign the petition and help spread the word. #changethelist
Kit Skogsbergh filed a petition on Change.org asking Disney to make an animated character of a pangolin, a little-known mammal being trafficked to extinction.

Hey enviro friends - I need a favor. I'm going to compile a list of "must-read" books, documentaries, etc on American rivers and water issues. Have any suggestions? Can be fiction or nonfiction. Just interesting stuff that will help me understand what makes rivers in the US so great, and what issues they're facing. Likely will publish the list on CNN as part of the ‪#‎changethelist‬ effort. Thanks!

Meet P26 -- a pangolin who recently was released into a national park in Vietnam. Vote on a new name for him.

I went undercover in Indonesia and Vietnam to expose a massive international trade in an animal I'd never heard of. Meet the humble, secretive pangolin. It's trafficked by the ton. (You voted for this coverage as part of http://cnn.com/change) #changethelist   #savethepangolin

Thank you John.  I hate to see a pangolin killed as you depicted in your video, for a food delicacy  or for fashion.  Totally barbaric.

Meet the pangolin -- a humble, secretive animal that's trafficked by the ton. (You voted for this coverage as part of my CNN #changethelist  project!) Pangolins could go extinct before people realize they exist.

Please help spread the word.

I'm hoping there's some safety in celebrity. #changethelist
CNN's John Sutter goes undercover in Southeast Asia to learn why this bizarre, scale-covered mammal -- which has been called a walking pinecone and a modern-day dinosaur -- is trafficked by the ton.

That was the longest article I've ever read on my iPhone. I couldn't put it down. It's well written and researched. I fell in love with the pangolin.
