I just read your report on beef & climate change. Excellent! Thank you for addressing this issue. I was surprised you didn't mention the documentary film "Cowspiracy".
It seems the one overarching issue of both climate change and environmental destruction, which no one except the Chinese have addressed, is population control. 7 billion people is simply unsustainable. Both terrestrial and ocean habitats are being wiped out. Other species are disappearing. We're fishing the oceans "dry". We're filling the planet with plastics. And we just keep multiplying, which inevitably leads to using more and more. If we truly want to face climate change, and the eventual destruction of this planet, we need to honestly face population. Economically developed countries tend to do this naturally (falling birth rates across Europe and the Asian "tigers"). But the others....
All of us eating less beef and using fewer fossil fuels, which I totally agree with, isn't going to do much good if the population shoots up to 9 or 10 billion.
But I haven't seen anyone face this issue honestly. Except the Chinese with their 1 child policy.
