January is National Oatmeal Month

Dating back to 7,000 B.C. in China, oats are one of the earliest cereals cultivated by humans. Rich in vitamins, minerals, fiber and phytonutrients, this whole grain food also packs a healthy punch of protein.

Milk, sugar and fruit are the most popular toppings for oatmeal, though we can't get enough of the rich and creamy boost a dollop of peanut butter adds to our favorite wholesome breakfast.

How do enjoy your oatmeal?

Good question! Looks like no one really knows for sure.
The concept of a region called the “Middle East” is a relatively recent and unstable construction. Since the term was first coined at the beginning of the 20th century, it has been applied to different sets of countries and territories. To complicate matters further, territories which have at ...

Lemons and limes contain compounds called limonins, which research shows can help to fight cancers of the mouth, skin, lungs, breast and stomach. There is also a connection between limonins and fighting colorectal cancers.

The vitamin C in lemons and limes also aids in developing a stronger immune system. This means that lemons and limes will help prevent you from falling ill as a result of viral and bacterial infections.

Today is World Arabic Language Day. It's an opportunity for us to acknowledge the immense contribution of the Arabic language to universal culture and to renew our commitment to multilingualism. This year, we're focusing on the role of the media in spreading & reinforcing Arabic. We must ensure that Arabic is heard & read in the public arena, and that it is used by an independent, plural Arab press. http://ow.ly/rRI6t
