I know many of you are already smart in regards to IT. Nevertheless...I am posting a link to this video tutorial from Leo Laporte and the TWIT network on using the encrypted password saving program, LastPass.

I use this tool in a modified format. With today's news of a massive username/password breach you may find that it is easier to keep track of your username / password combinations with something free like LastPass.

Mind you...this is not a cure-all but merely a step to help you keep an encrypted record of all your username / password combinations. If you are worried about using something like this, I understand. Then figure out another way.

Feel free to direct any questions or concerns over to me...your friendly neighborhood IT security wonk.

A book whose title and contents violate every IT security rule in (pardon this pun) the book. Incredible that anyone would buy this but then again...that might be why this is in the bargain bin.

IT workers...if you see this book in/around your network...talk to the user about why you are confiscating it.

You know it's Fiesta time in San Antonio when you drive down the access road to a major highway and get stuck behind flatbeds filled with bleachers that are precariously tethered to their trailer. I gave them lots of room and a wide turning radius.

Google' new way of jacking with its users is to push hangout events that really aren't there...case in point: Hangout President Obama 4:50pm ET.

I click on the link and get this:

Oops! This event could not be found.
Your URL may be incorrect, the event may have been deleted, or you may not have access to the event.

Seriously Google?

Suggestions on what I did wrong? There is this bizarre distortion behind the butterfly subject of this photo. It looks like a distortion and wave at the same time. Please critique away. Fwiw...the RAW from the Nikon D90 does not have this distortion. It appeared after I ran some effects through via PS 6.2.

And of course the anomaly only shows up when the image is at 100% or larger.

Does anyone have any ideas/suggestions on how to begin to fix this?

Good question. I didn't notbtrybto fix it in post. The wave is not present in the raw. It almost looks like a compression artifact

Looks like housing community I cut through daily is going to need yet another new sign. I think this one lasted 3-4 years. This one intersection is very dangerous because of a hill and the speeds of the vehicles coming over the hill that do not see drivers about to turn into this neighborhood.

If you are near this place, you owe to yourself to try it. Prices are good. Burgers and dogs are good. Beer selection is very good. The Condado one was right across the street from my hotel and after a visit, I'm sure the next time I'm in the San Juan area I will revisit it.
