Good Morning all,

So I'm a 300lb (and dropping) commuter. I do 23 miles a day when I ride and I try and ride 4-5 days/week. I've always busted spokes on my back wheel every few weeks. I've gotten pretty good at making repairs but I think I'd like a stronger wheel. Do I have to have one made or are there any others with experience with other wheels? Thanks.

These are the wheels that I am running:
http://www.niagaracycle.com/categories/wtb-fx28-29er-disc-rear-wheel-shimano-m525-9-speed-hub-qr-black
I have the disc version, and have only lost 3 spokes on the rear, after i jumped something this old man shouldn't do, especially on who weighs in excess of 300 lbs.
The only reason they broke, was because the the chain jumped and got caught between the cassette and spokes, and I started to pedal away, hard.
The spokes took a few days before they went, one by one, and have had zero spokes lost since.
With that being said, I'll probably lose some more, as that's the way my luck runs.
Otherwise, I'd guess that these wheels would do you, or any other Clydesdale as well as they have done me.

Hi everyone. This is my first post and I'm looking for a bit of feedback on these photos. I'd like to take portraits (including senior portraits) so I took my daughter and her friend out for a bit of practice. Any feedback is appreciated. Good or bad. Thanks!

How many of you commuters have cameras in case of an accident? In those cases, how has the footage affected your case? I'm just curious. I have a go pro but haven't mounted it yet.

+Joseph Nikstenas Likewise for me. Same scenario except school bus driver looked at me and still made right turn at me almost hit me. I just knew this driver was not going to run the stop sign but he did. Two days later there was a different driver. Haven't seen that driver since.

Can anyone recommend a decent ND filter for a decent (below $100 if possible) price?

I took this just before sunrise in Big Bear, California. I tend to like the times just before/after sunrise/sunset rather than the events themselves.

Thanks everyone. I shot this on the way home from wandering around Temecula, CA for 5 hours and not getting anything. Had to get off the freeway for this one but it was worth it.

Just do me one favor. When you upload a photo to be voted on, don't be the first one to tear it down. There are plenty of people out there that'll do that for you. You uploaded that particular photo because you were proud of it and thought it had a chance. Don't be the first to kill it.

Introduction
I'm the father of the two best kids ever and the husband of a loving and beautiful wife.  I live in Corona and have for the past 10 years.  Commuting to Anaheim isn't always ideal but it's not as bad as you think.

I commute to work on my bike a few days a week and love riding.  I'm a 300+ lb cyclist that thinks he can beat anyone he sees in front of him.  Needless to say, I've had plenty of practice replacing rear wheel spokes.

After a very short wait, we were seated at the corner window table. Best seat in the house. Staff was quick to get our drink orders and answer any questions about the menu. The food was great and came quick. I had the pork belly and it was fantastic. When our waiter came back to check on us, I told him how good it was and minutes later, he was setting a plate with another pork belly down for me to enjoy. Nice folks and great food.
