The Year of the Angel!
The New Year is just beginning, and many people are giving labels to signify a theme for it. Weight Watchers is saying that "2016 is the year of you" while some marketers call 2016 the "year of savings”.  The Pope is calling this year the "Year of Mercy".   Giving the year a "theme" can be helpful if you can focus long enough to follow through on your goal.  You might consider your personal year to be the year to lose weight, to exercise more, or to get out of debt.   For me, I am going to make this year the "Year of the Angel".

There are many reasons why I am proclaiming 2016 my personal year of the angel.  These beings of light are messengers, protectors, and give inspiration.  It is my responsibility to remain sensitive to the nudges they will be giving me during the year, and I am looking forward to paying more attention to them.  They are around anyway!   They tend to be pesky around me and eccentric as well.  You might try to sense their presence around you because they are there.

There is an angel for any issue that you may need to address.  Messenger angels give you a “heads up” when you face challenges.  It is essential to pay attention to messages they give you through your psychic senses.   Protective or guardian angels save us from perils that we do not see coming.  If you have narrowly avoided a disaster, it was probably not a coincidence.  Angels can be there in the nick of time to protect you from harm.  If disaster does come, they are there to help you with recovery or transition.  Angels inspire you and encourage you to do things you might not otherwise do.  They help you get out of your comfort zone.

Angels want you to ask them for their assistance. They serve the Creator by being available to us. These beings are present in the beginning of life, remain with you during life’s events, and comfort you when you pass from the physical plane to the spiritual one.  My mediumship work indicates to me that we have angels surrounding us in spirit as well.  Some people do not believe in the power angels exert in the physical plane, but for me, there is too much evidence to deny their existence.

The proper use of angels is essential when asking them for help.  Their assistance is for good, and it is not uncommon for them to perform miracles.  However, creating expectations for supernatural events is not appropriate. It is not for us to demand Divine or angelic intervention.  We are all expected to do the work in life.  We are here to learn lessons, and angels are with us for support.   You must have perseverance, hope, and faith to comfort you during life.  Angels are not your servants but can do many amazing things if you expand your consciousness to recognize their work.  Sometimes angels work through us to lend a hand or inspire another person to do good.

During the recent holiday season, there were many instances that indicated to me that angels were present in my life.  My mother was in a serious car accident, but she is okay.  It was miraculous that she survived because she is 91 years old, and she broke eight ribs and her sternum.  She had weeks of rehab before she could return home, but she has recovered well.   I am very grateful that her guardian angel was there to protect her.   We had a grandson born in December. He joins a new granddaughter born earlier in the year.   Angels were there to guide the medical professionals in handling the newborns during the birth process.  Both children are doing great.  Finally, my friends the Terlikowskis went out of town to visit their daughter just before Christmas.  When they returned, their home was severely damaged from a tornado.  They could have been killed if they were home during the storm.  Their angels worked overtime to keep them safe and let them know that they are here for a reason.

These examples may be similar to events in your life.  There is no reason for disaster or injury to happen around us except to have us learn from the experience. Changes in life are inevitable.   It is nice to know there are other factors around that help us make sense of everything.  Angels can help us understand the unknown if we are open to them.  A lot of change is ahead in 2016, and one of the ways you can prepare for it is to ask the angels to be around when it happens.  They can be supportive in their special way.  I hope you will join me in making 2016, “The Year of the Angel”.
