+Amber Klebanoff is doing this with a class of fifth grade students.  I went in and observed the class and spoke with the teacher and the students.  They were quite engaged in what they were doing and all were able to articulate the choices they made and how they executed their decisions.  VERY impressive!

Hey GEG! Twitter feeds don't normally work in a Google Site. This tutorial will show you how to get it done!
I love Google Sites, I really do. I encourage my teachers to use it for their class sites by expounding how great it connects with Google Drive. My pitch falls short when the teacher tries to embed her class Twitter feed and ...

+John Calvert It has been interesting so far. It is very easily to publish and share materials. And the forking feature could mean that students could have their "version" of the course. You still need some kind of communication tool for class discussions and such. I am also really interested in #MikeCaulfield and Smallest Federated Wiki as well: http://hapgood.us/2014/06/04/smallest-federated-wiki-as-an-alternate-vision-of-the-web/

I can think of many applications for this. Looking forward to using +Bjorn Behrendt 's latest form add-on... In fact, I just used Form Eliminator ;)

My newest Forms Add-on: CheckItOut.   Which is used to track checking in and out items.

Yes, "admin quarantine" will give admins better email security and control. Admin can monitor messages that meet certain conditions. Instead of automatically delivering the message to the recipient, it will show up in the admin's quarantine review UI.

This is the kind of news that makes 3-D printing in schools sound more pragmatic. The technology is beginning to catch up to the vision! #makered
At the 3D Print Hub show in Milan, WASP says they plan to unveil their Delta WASP 20 40 Turbo 3D printer. That's big news on a couple of fronts: the Italian gro

+Mark House I like that a lot!  I'm going to give it try, too.  I guess you put that in an iFrame on sites?

This is so good. The history of knowledge organization and networks. Its a long read but well worth the effort.

This is well worth reading. Very thought provoking.

Introduction
I'm a k-5 technology learning facilitator for the Scarsdale Public Schools in New York. I mostly post about educational technology topics, but I get distracted now and again. Professionally, my passions include the power of collaboration and transparent bottom up curriculum systems. I also love to make stuff. Even though I'm more successful making digital things, I still love to get my hands dirty.
