This example can also be used for video games (and their fanboys) as well.
“Ghostbusters,” a revival of the 1984 original, hits theaters nationwide on Friday. As a reboot of a beloved, male-led science fiction film from the 1980s with a female-led cast, the reboot has pro…

For anyone who likes or is looking for more obscure movies, Warner Archives is offering a 4 for $44 deal where they make available on disc many of their more obscure or older movies that are not popular enough to mass produce. Each disc is made when you order it and normally costs over $20 each. This offer is only good for the weekend, but they have a few thousand titles available.

We're calling for a worldwide day of action to stop the Rule 41 changes. Help us defend privacy.
EFF Calls for a Day of Action on June 21. Please join us. The Department of Justice is using an obscure procedure to push through a rule change that will greatly increase law enforcement’s ability to hack into computers located around the world. It’s an update to Rule 41 of the Federal Rules of Criminal Procedure. If Congress does nothing, this massive change will automatically go into effect on December 1.

Might as well post your own data to the net and cut out the middleman.

A swift kick in the nostalgia. :(
Ms. Waldo, a voice-over actress, played sprightly teenagers for decades on popular cartoon shows, most notably “The Jetsons.”

This is pathetic. Upgrading our PCs is exactly WHY we're PC gamers! Upgrading over time is WHAT WE FREAKING DO!

One of the nice things about PC gaming is the fact that over time you can upgrade your system piece-by-piece, in order to achieve better performance. This means faster load times, better graphics, and higher resolutions. Unfortunately, it also means…

I'm extremely pleased with Enviroquest. I live in an area with a bad soil mixture comprised mostly of different types of clay. Enviroquest was the *only* company who quoted me a single price for any work that was necessary to get below 4.0 pCi/l. None of the others would guarantee results and just about all of them charge for additional taps. To top it off, Enviroquest had the best price by a few hundred dollars. They ended up coming out several times, installed multiple taps, and even upgraded the fan to the most powerful consumer version out there. But the end result is that I'm now below 4.0, I only had to pay once, their people were always friendly and courteous, and they honored their contract without question. Sure, it took multiple times, but I'm the kind of person who appreciates the fact that they're at least trying to satisfy the contract without looking for excuses to add extra charges. In fact, I'm quite sure that they ended up losing money on me if only from the fan upgrade. But my radon levels are now below 4.0, I only paid once, and they honored the contract. You can't ask for more.

I scheduled an appointment to have some plumbing work done, particularly a PVC vent to the roof line for my new upflushing toilet and some bad valve replacements. He surveyed the work to be done and gave me a quote around what I expected, so we set the date to have the work done. He and one of his associates (his son, maybe?) were out here early in the morning at 9 AM. They were completely finished by 1 PM. Everything was done exactly as requested. The most phenomenal part is that when I was handed the bill, it was about 1/2 of the estimate because everything went so smoothly! I was very willing to write that check, and I told them flat out "You have a positive referral." I'll have absolutely no problems calling them again when plumbing work needs to be done.
