Okay, I'm just going to say this now for anyone playing Grand Theft Auto V on a PC.

If your PC is connected to a 3D TV/monitor or you don't mind red/blue anaglyph, you seriously need to play this in 3D! Rockstar built stereoscopic 3D into the game! If you crank the NVIDIA 3D depth to max and you increase the 3D convergence in the game's graphics setting -- HO. LEE. S**T.

And anyone with a modern NVIDIA card can play in red/blue anaglyph. Their drivers can convert just about any Direct X game on the fly. I haven't tried that version yet, but I can tell you for a fact that playing this game on a 3DTV with the 3D settings cranked up is UN-FREAKING-BELIEVABLE!!

Okay, back to Los Santos....

The Three Mile Island incident was 36 years ago today. It still feels kind of weird seeing those towers when I'm over in that area.

BLOOM COUNTY! Pay what you want! I haven't read Bloom County in years, but this is a great excuse to start reading them again.
Our newest Humble Book Bundle features the complete run of the Bloom County comic strip, here to fill that penguin-sized hole in your heart!

Am I the only one who finds it amusing that records have come back so much that they now have an "official" weekly release day?
After seven months of semi-public back-and-forth, a conversation instigated in part by Aussie piracy and Beyonce's surprise release in December of 2013 has resulted in the global recording industry accepting Friday as the release date for new albums. As reported in August, the shift will take place this summer.

What this says is new music from artists will be released on Fridays instead of Tuesdays per norm. Indie and labels abroad do whatever they want already so, its just hype to let the dumbsumers know, your favorite pop CDs come out on Friday.

Vinyl has not "come back" http://goo.gl/1oLSEm but it is a popular way to feel value in tunes. I collect and by y LP's as a dj and music collector

It's slightly cold in the U.S. right now...
NASA's Terra satellite captured an image of the snow-covered eastern U.S. that looks like the states have been sitting in a freezer.

Karlie Kloss doesn't just rule the runways, front for L'Oreal Paris or make awesome kookies for Momofuku — she's also an advocate for young women who code.

I don't know if everyone qualifies, but "The Transformers" is free to "buy" on Google Play as a celebration for Google Play being 3 years old. No, it's not the good one from the 1980s. It's the Michael Bay one, but still it's free.
Dueling alien races, the Autobots and the Decepticons, bring their battle to Earth, leaving the future of humankind hanging in the balance.

The view from one of my bedroom windows. I hate the bitter cold that often comes with winter, but I absolutely love scenes from snowfalls like this.

Interesting. It looks like the upcoming "Alien" movie will be a direct sequel to "Aliens" as though "Alien 3" and "Resurrection" never happened.

Not cool.
Ana Redmond launched into a technology career for an exciting challenge and a chance to change the world. She was well-equipped to succeed too: An ambitious math and science wiz, she could code faster, with fewer errors, than anyone she knew.

She has some pretty neat stuff there.  I have a 7" HD LCD sitting to my right at the moment displaying my ISSAbove HD from a Raspberry PI.

I'm extremely pleased with Enviroquest. I live in an area with a bad soil mixture comprised mostly of different types of clay. Enviroquest was the *only* company who quoted me a single price for any work that was necessary to get below 4.0 pCi/l. None of the others would guarantee results and just about all of them charge for additional taps. To top it off, Enviroquest had the best price by a few hundred dollars. They ended up coming out several times, installed multiple taps, and even upgraded the fan to the most powerful consumer version out there. But the end result is that I'm now below 4.0, I only had to pay once, their people were always friendly and courteous, and they honored their contract without question. Sure, it took multiple times, but I'm the kind of person who appreciates the fact that they're at least trying to satisfy the contract without looking for excuses to add extra charges. In fact, I'm quite sure that they ended up losing money on me if only from the fan upgrade. But my radon levels are now below 4.0, I only paid once, and they honored the contract. You can't ask for more.

I scheduled an appointment to have some plumbing work done, particularly a PVC vent to the roof line for my new upflushing toilet and some bad valve replacements. He surveyed the work to be done and gave me a quote around what I expected, so we set the date to have the work done. He and one of his associates (his son, maybe?) were out here early in the morning at 9 AM. They were completely finished by 1 PM. Everything was done exactly as requested. The most phenomenal part is that when I was handed the bill, it was about 1/2 of the estimate because everything went so smoothly! I was very willing to write that check, and I told them flat out "You have a positive referral." I'll have absolutely no problems calling them again when plumbing work needs to be done.
