This appears to be genuine, folks. They link to the research paper in the article.
Evolutionary biologist Vazrick Nazari has identified a new centimetre- wide moth, disclosing his finding on ZooKeys. It has a silky head of bright yellow scales, which the moth develops in adulthood, and its head has been described as orange-yellow in colouration, the body is white and the wings are brown or greyish. Also an important detail - its genitalia is “comparatively smaller” than that of the Neopalpa neonata, its close relative.

Your reminder of how brilliant and how much of a visionary David Bowie was....

This is worth some of your time.
"She was a handful, but my life would have been so much drabber if she hadn't been my friend," Hamill writes in a remembrance of his late 'Star Wars' co-star.

My good ol' Commodore 64. I'm going to let this play continuously for a few hours while I reminisce back to the 1980s.

This is an unassembled, 16 page booklet that I made to accompany my original "Star Wars" trilogy laserdiscs conversions to DVD. Yes, I know about the despecialized editions and other restoration efforts that make my conversion look like crap. But this is a multi-year project that never got finished. I'm finally finishing it just to get it done.

This is an example of how audio is encoded on 35mm film.

Left - Sony Dynamic Digital Sound soundtrack
Middle (between sprocket holes) - Dolby Digital soundtrack
Right - Analog stereo track

In this time when people think a blog post with an obvious agenda is indisputable fact and "unfriend/unfollow me if you disagree" is commonplace (which is unbearably arrogant, btw), this article is a breath of fresh air.
To reject the notion of expertise, and to replace it with a sanctimonious insistence that every person has a right to his or her own opinion, is silly.

The actress was one of Hollywood's greatest memorabilia collectors and an early advocate for the preservation of the town's history.

These are boxes of DVDs that we no longer watch that I'm sending off to some of our troops stationed abroad. If you have any DVDs or BDs that you no longer use, please consider sending them to our men and women overseas through https://www.facebook.com/DVDSTOTHETROOPS.

Rest in peace, sir, and thank you.
His legend is other-worldly and now, in his 95th year, that’s where John Glenn has gone. An authentic hero and genuine American icon, Glenn died this afternoon surrounded by family at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus after a remarkably healthy life spent almost from the cradle with Annie, his beloved wife of 73 years, who survives.

Mister Wizard when he had hair! The laserdisc was the predecessor to the DVD and Blu-ray. This is a great video to learn about how they work.

I've never been disappointed by the food; but it's always really, really slow during lunch because they normally only have one cashier even when the queue is full of people. If you have shorter lunch periods, I recommend going elsewhere.
