What do Hot Dogs and #Ford have in common at #CAS15 ? Find out here!
Growing up in a family that made a sizable chunk of it’s income in the hot dog business, makes you a bit humble and allows you to appreciate the things that most other people take for granted. I remember hearing so many friends and family members scoff at the very idea that anyone could become... Read more »

I guess some things never change, but is that a bad thing?
The other day I came to the realization that I have personally owned a lot of vehicles. Sitting down and doing the math, I have basically averaged one vehicle for each year I am old. This is actually quite impressive considering that I am not (nor have ever been) independently wealthy nor am a card... Read more »

Not to be a stickler, but the Beretta 92 shown is a 9mm and the average velocity for said cartridge is between 1,100 and 1,250fps. Just saying.

Introduction
My goal in life is to have "Been there, done that." be the answer to most questions asked of me. Despite the lack of a map and compass, I am an explorer and always seeking out new challenges. People have referred to me as a "renaissance man" and frankly- I can't think of a better description for myself. Oh, I am also an automotive blogger for ChicagoNow and the host of a car talk show called Gear Grinders TV. Episodes can be seen at Watch312.com and you can follow me on Twitter @MrJohnnyBones

I don't often rate car dealers, but I have nothing but praise for this place. My first experience came when I had my Mk5 Jetta Wolfsburg (purchased from another dealer) in need of several warranty repairs. Chad was my service consultant at the time (who was since promoted to service manager- Deservingly so) and he was absolutely stellar. It was because of his great service and ethical business practices that I decided to lease my next vehicle from FJVW. As for the sales experience, George Portillo is unlike any sales guy I have ever met. He is a true "petrol-head" and actually cared about finding me the right vehicle as opposed to selling what he had on hand. Aside from positive attitudes by the entire sales team, we struck an amazing deal that was fair for all involved. I can not recommend this dealer enough as all of my experiences with FJVW have all exceeded expectations.
