I'm still in total disbelief about how bad Apple Maps is, but I assume I'll stop talking about it eventually. “Unusably bad” is not hyperbole in this case. A couple blocks from my office, I thought I would give it an easy task in showing me how to get back to work. 1,360 miles and a dilapidated shed in Nebraska later, I realized the error of my ways.
I was reminded of a line from Steve Jobs’ 2005 commencement address at Stanford: “Again, you can't connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future.” I dunno, Steve, I want to believe, but connecting dots does not come easily to the new Maps app... #applemaps
