Test Driven Design is the process of writing unit tests first (expecting them to fail) and then writing the code to make the tests pass. The benefits of doing this include: • forces the programmer to plan out the functionality head of time • forces the functions to be small, concise, and testable • leaves the programmer with a full unit test suite with 100% test coverage

So I made a thing... Weeping Angel Simulator!  Needs access to your webcam.
#doctorwho
Weeping Angel Simulator. Don't turn your head away from your webcam. Turn away and you're dead! The Weeping Angels are by far the best villain in Dr. Who. They were first introduced in "Blink" (S3E10 of the 2005 series) and have been terrifying the audience ever since.

Hell to the no.

Someday though, in my castle, there will be a room full of angel statues, two backup generators, and a staff of Whovians paid to stare at them. Just cuz.

Hello Guardians!

Before some of the more well-known item managers were released, our raid group of dev nerds spitballed a new site idea while waiting for the Swordbearer to come back out from under one of the boomer towers.

Do you:
- Roll through a raid with the same setup every time?
- Have multiple characters of the same class that you have to transfer armor between?
- Wish there was an easier way to transfer those same 5-10 items with one click?
- Hate shuffling items to/from the vault to make more space?
- Want a one-click solution to grab +100 Heavy Weapon Synthesis that you forgot back in the Vault?

DestinyGearsets.com was created using the same wizardry that Bungie has graced us with in the mobile/browser app, but it's not "just another item manager".

Create a Weapon or Armor Gearset, add a name ("Best Void", "Titan Armor"), and save it. Add your items to your Gearsets, including an item to Equip if you prefer. Click "Equip Gearset" and we'll take care of finding which character your items are currently on, and transfer them to your currently selected character for you!

Weapon and Armor Gearsets are independent of each other, so if you've got 3 Titans, build those default Weapon and Armor Gearsets with the items you always roll with. When you switch characters in Destiny, load up DestinyGearsets.com, pick the new character you logged in with, select your default Gearsets, and Equip. We'll shuffle everything around for you.

DestinyGearsets.com is a browser-agnostic (no plugin) and platform-agnostic (use your lappy/tablet/phone) equipment manager. Works with Xbox and Playstation, allowing you to switch between both platforms.

Currently we're doing a "limited release beta" and Phase 1 is limited to 100 registrations for testing on a first come, first serve basis. But we will be increasing that number once we're sure that we're in good shape with no danger of killing the site due to poor planning on our part.

We encourage you to register because as we increase the number of users, we will be activating the next chunk of users based on registration date. We will have special flair for users that registered on the site and helped us test during our initial launch phases!

Goood luuuuuck.

Welcome to DGS! DestinyGearSets is engineered to give Destiny players an easier way to manange and equip their items! Creating your account is simple! Just enter your preferred email address and a password and click register. You will then be prompted for your bungie.net credentials.

Closures (also known as anonymous functions or lambda functions) are just that - Anonymous or closed. They don't follow the standard function declaration, and can be created inline. If you've used any modern JavaScript library, you've already done this.

Introduction
Technology is my mistress.  I'm a huge hardware geek (love anything with blinky lights) and develop software for a living.  Currently I'm doing web development in PHP, but I've worked in Java and ColdFusion in the past.

By the way, I'm also the creator of Social Overlord (http://www.socialoverlord.com).  Go check it out if cross posting from G+ to other social networks is of any interest to you :).

Gaming is another major interest.  I'm usually on the trusty Xbox if I'm not playing some old school tabletop games (Dominion or Munchkin anyone?).  Lately, Diablo III has taken all my time, but hey, It's awesome :).

Photography is a nice outlet for me and I think I've managed to get some decent shots.  I'm not a professional by any means, but I think I'm adequate :)

All of my photos are released with creative commons noncommercial, so you can use them for whatever, just credit me :).  If you want to use them for a commercial purpose, contact me directly. Alternatively, go to my photography site: http://www.ninjashotz.com/

I've been seeing Dr. Arazi for over 10 years. He and his staff are very professional, genuinely care about myself and my family, and are very knowledgeable. When I first moved to the area, I did extensive research to find a new dentist and Dr. Arazi won hands down. His credentials are impressive, and he is WONDERFUL with children. I would highly recommend him.
