This might seem like just another Trekker collect, but you have no idea of the effort that went into getting permissions, collection logistics, etc, for this one...well done Street View Special Collects!
The Inca site is the latest, and one of the most ambitious, world attractions to be mapped by Google Street View. On an exclusive trip, we joined the team as they captured Machu Picchu on camera for the armchair traveller

New Nexus 5 and new phablet N6 for those who like that sort of thing. Apparently they are both made of Marshmellow.
Can you make a power-user phone that's also well-designed?

Of course I can't officially or unofficially comment. But unofficially my unofficial comment is "about time!"

And more Google Earth news
As Google Earth celebrates its 10th anniversary, it's evolving way beyond a way to find your house.

Because its raining? Not the problem.
Holiday traffic? Not yet.

Apparently the reason for slow going on the 101 today was that some idiot parked an Imperial Transport Shuttle there.

Yesterday Google Earth celebrated its 10th birthday!

This one application has touched the careers and lives of millions, not least my own. Which is why its very exciting to be able to finally tell about some changes in the world of GE. As announced this morning on the Google Lat Long blog there is now a big new layer highlighting some of the great imagery we have around the world.

The effort was lead by Sean Askay, new Engineering manager of Google, because a little while ago Google Earth became part of the Geo for Good family (along with Earth Outreach and Earth Engine). So I now sit next to the lead Googler on Google Earth :-)

Stay tuned for exciting things ahead...
