On Wednesday, I met with Hammond Mayor Tom McDermott, Jr. as well as Jill Gajewski from the Hammond Port Authority to donate 30 of my recent Hammond photos for the city to use for future commercial and marketing purposes. Thanks Mayor Tom for giving me a little bit of your time today and I look forward to what I think will be a very productive relationship helping to showcase all of the positive attributes that Hammond, Indiana has to offer. #nwindiana #joeyblsphotography

The mood graph is there for you when you need to determine your mood. Countless souls have stood in front of the mood graph, admiring it's grungy appeal and littered floor. However, the outlook is grim for those who have judged their mood on this mood graph because according to this scientific diagram, as time goes by, mood goes down. Down so much it is, in fact, off the charts, which some argue is the origination of the phrase 'off the charts'.

When the going gets tough and you need to find a way to draw people into your city...create an arts district. Just like Hammond, Michigan City, and Miller Beach (Gary) did. Props to the leaders and visionaries whose open minded ideas are beginning to bring new life to these downtown NWI communities. #nwindiana   #thearts   #artdistrict

Introduction
My passion is the creative arts, whether it be through music, fine art, graphic art, photography, or video production. I was born and raised in Northwest Indiana and I am passionate about photography as well as growing other businesses through strategic digital marketing and online reputation management. In a nutshell, creating engaging and attractive web content and utilizing that content in an effective way.

I am interested in photography as a whole, but I am drawn to landscape photography, architecture photography, aerial photography, street photography, and urban exploration photography. I enjoy traveling around the United States visiting both the big cities and the little towns of America. I eat the local fare, listen to the local dialects, and capture the local scenery. Locally, I am on a mission to create a site where people and businesses can order and purchase licenses to use photos of Northwest Indiana for commercial purposes. I also created a website dedicated to photos of Traverse City, Michigan which has recently become a favorite summer small town getaway place for me.

My photos are available for purchase as photo prints and wall art through my website located at www.joeyblsphotography.com in addition to updates and other information.

BEST LOBSTER ROLLS IN MAINE!!! Me and my girlfriend stopped at Cook's Crossing in Searsport, ME as we were driving up US 1 heading from Portland, ME to Bar Harbor, ME. I must say, throughout our east coast road trip, we stopped at a number of places that offered fresh lobster rolls, but Cook's Crossing had THE BEST LOBSTER ROLLS IN MAINE!!! It was a pleasure to make a stop and the owners were wonderful! We spoke with June who took great care of us and was great company during our stop. The restaurant itself is located inside of the original Searsport train station, giving it unique characteristics. If you love lobster rolls, THIS IS A MUST STOP! The ice cream is great too! We are already looking forward to a future trip to Maine and this place will be a "must stop" each time we come through!

I CONSISTENTLY HAVE TERRIBLE EXPERIENCES AT THE SCHERERVILLE LOCATION. I live just a couple of blocks away and typically order carry-out. A couple of months back, I ordered a pizza and had one of the worst experiences while ordering; I ordered not long before close and the girl was completely rude. When I picked up the pizza, she continued to be rude and I ended up going home with someone else's order. I called back minutes later, spoke with a manager who said I would be credited a large two-topping pizza to my account. Just over four months later, I decided to order a pizza and use my credit and when I called, they couldn't find a credit in the system and said that even if I had a credit, it would have expired in 90 days. Despite Aurelio's sending me home with the wrong meal (which is an expensive mistake) and consistently receiving terrible service over the phone, my 'credit' was no longer valid. The woman on the phone said all she could do was offer $5.00 off, which is outrageous considering that I am ordering in a reasonable amount of time from my credit and the credit was due to their fault anyways. I told the woman on the phone that I would be sharing my experience with this and past experiences at the Schererville location across all social media and review platforms in which she replied, "Well let me just go talk to the Manager again...". I responded and said that I needed to order food now and I would accept a phone call if a manager was willing to call. AS I EXPECTED, I NEVER RECEIVED A CALL. This business does not practice good business ethics. So Aurelio's, no thanks. I'll admit, I love Aurelio's pizza, but I'll send my business to any other location besides the Schererville one. And despite my experience mentioned above, the overall service here is consistently sub-par when ordering or picking up for carry-out. Avoid this location like the plague.

My new favorite Las Vegas hotel! I stayed two nights here with my g/f and absolutely loved it. This was my 6th time in Vegas, I have stayed at many of the other hotels, but this one is by far the best. The theme is 'elegance' and this place was surely that. Had a beautiful view of the Bellagio fountain from our West Tower suite balcony. It's a bit pricey to stay here, however, if you are a bit of a Las Vegas snob, this place should certainly meet your expectations. Looking forward to another stay at The Cosmopolitan in the future!

AMAZING PIZZA!!!! This place is truly authentic Italian food! The pizza here is absolutely incredible. After talking with the staff, I found that almost all of their ingredients are imported directly from Italy and when you take a bite, that much is obvious. THIS is what pizza was always suppose to taste like! I highly recommend their homemade dessert gelato as well as their homemade cannoli. The atmosphere is very comfortable and is very well decorated! I'm excited to come back and hope that others will find this place as delicious as I did!

Enjoyed my stay at The Signature behind the MGM Grand. The staff is very polite, they open the door for me each time I come and go, and the hotel/residence is very nice. If you are looking for something without a casino attached yet just a stone's throw from the strip, this is your place. It's a bit more quiet and much less rowdy than other places. The Lounge bar is nice and quaint. The room is very clean and I had a Penthouse view of the strip. Enjoyed my stay!
