Dammit, Corey Herscu, you're giving away our best tricks! But seriously: if your job involves publicizing what your company does, be sure to read this short, sweet article on how to get the media to talk about your firm.
Journalists are very fickle characters, and for good reason.

Tampa tech evangelist extraordinaire Joe Healy will be hosting tomorrow's coworking event at Tampa Bay Wave's office on East Kennedy Blvd. It starts at 10am, ends at 6pm, and if you need to get some work done away from your regular office, home office, library, or Starbucks, this is a great place, and the Tampa tech community will be there -- and so will I!
The Tampa tech scene wouldn't be the same with the smiling face and hard work of Microsoft evangelist Joe Healy (he's @DevFish on Twitter), whom I had the p

In today's local report: Erika won't cause devastation in Tampa like it did in Dominica, a local school teaches that it's okay to fail (cue parental freak-out really soon now), and the guy behind St. Pete's "Poonami" retires suddenly -- but it's to spend more time with his family. Of course.
Erika downgraded, but still may cause flooding Erika, which has caused death and destruction in Dominica, the Dominican Republic, and Haiti, has weakened

My fantastic wife Anitra shot this video of my presentation at Ignite Tampa Bay 2015: "Florida Man and Woman: The Heroes We Need". If you're looking for 5 minutes of amusement and just a little inspiration, this might do the trick.

I gave the second-last presentation of the evening at last night's Ignite Tampa, and it went over pretty well, I think. For the super-curious, here are my slides and notes!
Last night, I gave the second-last presentation at the 2015 edition of Ignite Tampa, an annual gathering where people in Accordion Bay come to see locals t

I'll bet you'd take this deal.
I'll take the 2014 Dodge Ram, and because I'm in a generous mood, I'll even throw in a couple hundred extra bucks above the asking price!

Story
Tagline
Rock and roll accordion-playing mobile technologist and evangelist at large, casual software developer, blogger, storyteller and all-round bon vivant.
Introduction
Oh yes, this is the correct Joey. I'm a damned entertaining person to have in one your circles.

I'm the platform evangelist/partner technical analyst for GSG, a mobile/telecom management platform company. I used to be the CTO for Comprehensive Technology Solutions, a mobile consultancy with clients like Rogers Telecommunications. Previously, I was Shopify's Tech Evangelist, and before that, Microsoft's Most Dangerous Developer Evangelist. If you'd like to go further back, see the Employment section of my profile.

I'm a rock and roll accordion player. I fell into it by accident when I discovered that the accordion was a device for turning music into adventure. Or at least free beer. Hence the nickname -- given to me, I didn't make it up -- "Accordion Guy".

I've lots more to say, and if you add me to your circles, you'll hear it. In the meantime, here's something about me that I hope you'll find entertaining:

Back in high school, after reading Space-Time and Beyond for the umpteenth time and drinking one too many zombies with my friend Henry, we came up with a theory:

In the infinite set of universes, there had to exist a particular universe in which the events in our lives were being watched as a TV show.

We then made a solemn vow to live the kind of life that got high ratings.

This is the continuation of that story.

Bragging rights
I'm the accordion player with the second-most appearances on MuchMusic (the leader is Weird Al). I came up with a really clever use for the P=NP problem. I have successfully annoyed four high-level Microsoft execs. I make near-death look good.
