Those dreaded words from the service department: "We have been able to diagnose the problem, and need to speak with you to discuss your service options."

That's hardly dreadful. Undiagnosable is dreadful.

It's been lurking in the shadows while other Asian cuisines have hogged the spotlight, but Filipino food's time is coming.
It’s got the flavors we love, but its path to mainstream tables has been delayed, in part, by shame.

It's even more awkward if you've read "Splinter of the Mind's Eye".
Found via Imgur. Click to see the source. And geez, Luke's looking a lot like Emperor Sheev Palaptine these days...

"Chloe Sevigny at 40?" Wasn't she just 20? For that matter, wasn't I?

Deplaning, Beatles-style in Tampa. I like that JetBlue uses both the front and rear doors to unload passengers. It lets a plane spotter like me get lots of close-up jet pics, too.

John Deere told the Copyright Office that farmers don’t own their tractors. Since modern-day tractors are run by computers controlled by their software, farmers receive “an implied license for the life of the vehicle to operate the vehicle.” GM's coming up with equally wacky arguments to stop you from tinkering with your car.
It’s official: John Deere and General Motors want to eviscerate the notion of ownership.

Are you a Marvel comics fan AND working out (I know, on a Venn diagram, that intersection might be a very tiny sliver)? Then you might want to see this comparison on the various diets used by the actors who play Wolverine, Star-Lord, Captain America, and Thor.

Or you could just eat like "Comic Book Guy" from The Simpsons.
Jackman's Wolverine diet or Pratt's Paleo?

Iceman being gay: that I can follow. But Jean Grey alive? Clearly I've lost track of what's being going on in the X-Men comic books.
Over the years, there’s been a steady rise of out gay superheroes in both Marvel and DC’s rosters — and now that number has grown a little larger, with the revelation in tomorrow’s All-New X-Men #40 that one of the founding members of the X-Men is gay.

Once upon a time, "toe cheese" was just a figure of speech for the goop that gathered around your big toenail. Not anymore.

One thing you learn from having a blog: sometimes an article on a minor topic that you posted a while back suddenly becomes incredibly popular for reasons unknown. The number one post at this moment on my tech blog "Global Nerdy" is one from last year that shows how you can use emoji instead of alphanumeric characters in Apple's then-new Swift programming language.
By allowing Unicode characters in constant and variable names, Apple's new Swift programming language will allow programmers whose native languages don't use t

Story
Tagline
Rock and roll accordion-playing mobile technologist and evangelist at large, casual software developer, blogger, storyteller and all-round bon vivant.
Introduction
Oh yes, this is the correct Joey. I'm a damned entertaining person to have in one your circles.

I'm the platform evangelist/partner technical analyst for GSG, a mobile/telecom management platform company. I used to be the CTO for Comprehensive Technology Solutions, a mobile consultancy with clients like Rogers Telecommunications. Previously, I was Shopify's Tech Evangelist, and before that, Microsoft's Most Dangerous Developer Evangelist. If you'd like to go further back, see the Employment section of my profile.

I'm a rock and roll accordion player. I fell into it by accident when I discovered that the accordion was a device for turning music into adventure. Or at least free beer. Hence the nickname -- given to me, I didn't make it up -- "Accordion Guy".

I've lots more to say, and if you add me to your circles, you'll hear it. In the meantime, here's something about me that I hope you'll find entertaining:

Back in high school, after reading Space-Time and Beyond for the umpteenth time and drinking one too many zombies with my friend Henry, we came up with a theory:

In the infinite set of universes, there had to exist a particular universe in which the events in our lives were being watched as a TV show.

We then made a solemn vow to live the kind of life that got high ratings.

This is the continuation of that story.

Bragging rights
I'm the accordion player with the second-most appearances on MuchMusic (the leader is Weird Al). I came up with a really clever use for the P=NP problem. I have successfully annoyed four high-level Microsoft execs. I make near-death look good.
