My wife and daughter continue to produce awesome monogrammed and embroidered shirts. Being a baseball fan I'm kind of partial to the baseball shirts like this one. #baseball

Facebook at Work - Why Not?

When I saw Facebook at Work in my news feed today my first thought was, Why not? The vast majority of people are on Facebook at work anyway. We should at least be able to communicate and maybe get some work done while we're there. Anyone planning on trying it out?

#Facebook
About six months ago, we reported that Facebook was working on a new product aimed squarely at the enterprise market under the working title, "FB@Work."..

HTTPS Made Easy?

If you are thinking of converting to HTTPS you might want to wait and see how this shakes out.
#HTTPS
Today EFF is pleased to announce Let’s Encrypt, a new certificate authority (CA) initiative that we have put together with Mozilla, Cisco, Akamai, IdenTrust, and researchers at the University of Michigan that aims to clear the remaining roadblocks to transition the Web from HTTP to HTTPS.

Favorite 2015 Ford F150 Platinum

This might be my favorite 2015 Ford F150 we have received so far. I'm digging the Brunello leather seats and the twin panel moonroof.

Changes at Microsoft/Bing

I'm not sure I would be as thoughtful or positive if I were in this position. Something tells me that he will turn up making a huge impact somewhere else.
Yesterday was one of the most emotional days of my life. I lost my job as my position was eliminated, and I darn near burnt the orange cinnamon rolls I baked! (Props to Pillsbury for making a bad day better though, because damn those rolls were tasty!). Microsoft announced changes within the ...

Condo was exactly as the pictures showed. Everything worked and was very comfortable. Just a short walk to the beach. Nice pool with a hot tub and children's area.

This place is an accident waiting to happen. Don't take small children. The colorful animal figures are not bolted down. The concrete paths are uneven and a tripping hazard. The course is not in good shape so if you are serious about your mini golf this place will frustrate you. The only good thing about the place is you can play all the golf you want for $5.

I was there for a social media conference for two days. The room was comfortable and cool during the 100 degree weather. It could have been a bit cleaner in some spots, corners and floor moldings ect. The staff was friendly. The dining options on site are limited. There are several good options with a short drive of 2 miles and under. The facility did have a nice pool I liked the way it was kind of tucked away and from the main traffic. I would stay there again if the opportunity arose.

My favorite place in Mineola to have lunch. Great atmosphere and even better sandwiches. My favorite is the Meat Lovers on Sourdough. If you are into homemade cakes, pies and other tasty treats check out the ever changing array of sweets. Or if you are watching your waist line stay away from the display case filled with sugary goodness.

Was in Vegas for a conference at the Las Vegas Convention Center. I chose the Tropicana based on its proximity to the Monorail and the rates. Turned out it was a solid choice. It was very convenient to get to the conference and other places I wanted to go. The room was clean and spacious. Great TV that swiveled so I could see it while I worked at the desk. Comfortable bed. The food choices were not expansive but I was able to find a good meal whenever I was hungry. The hotel staff was very friendly. Every morning when I stepped off the elevator several of the table dealers greeted me with a wave and a smile. By midweek I was coming off the elevator head up looking for smiles and waves. There were only a couple of things I would like to see improved. One was the shampoo, it took the whole bottle to wash my hair. The second thing was I could have used a brighter light in the bathroom. All in all I would not hesitate to stay at the Tropicana on my next trip to Las Vegas.

I had avoided this place because it said sushi on the sign. Finally, I gave them a try and I had a very nice lunch. There are plenty of options on the buffet including a section where you can choose your meats and veggies and have them cooked up fresh and hot. I just happened to be there when their new pocket calendars came in and scored one of those as well. I will be adding the Yes Buffet to my lunch rotation in Mineola.

Let me get this straight. The slowest part of the whole process is getting your snacks and drinks at the concession. So, you make that process even slower by selling movie tickets along with candy, popcorn and drinks. Not too mention that the staff has to walk from one end of the concession area to the other depending upon what the customer has ordered. It took 17 minutes to get a coke and some popcorn which meant we just barely got seated before the movie trailers started. Sell tickets at the ticket counter and snacks at the snack counter. Stop making things worse.
