General Podcast Discussion  -

Is there a reason that podcatcher apps like Overcast.fm and Pocket Casts would stop receiving my last few episodes while everything continues to be fine in iTunes and with my RSS feed?

I've been getting emails from listeners in the past few weeks saying that their podcast app, specifically Overcast and Pocket Casts, aren't showing any episodes of my Smart and Simple Matters show beyond 098 (I'm on episode 102 now). I've emailed and tweeted to Overcast with no response and I'd like to remedy the problem for my listeners if there's an issue on my side that I don't know about.

Thanks in advance for any help troubleshooting this downstream issue!

Helpful links for research:

iTunes URL: https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/smart-simple-matters-podcast/id545208089

Overcast URL: https://overcast.fm/itunes545208089/smart-and-simple-matters-creating-community-simplicity-and-authenticity-with-you (which has the iTunes podcast number in it – making me even more confused why iTunes and Overcast are out of sync)

Thanks for the update, Joel. It's a shame Overcast and Pocket Casts haven't responded to your requests. I don't know if tagging +Marco Arment will help for Overcast, but we can try.

This interactive training with +Warren Talbot will explore everything you need to get started – and finish – decluttering where you live. Warren has "been there, done that" himself, has taught thousands to finally declutter through his An Uncluttered Life podcast and Declutter Clinic, and is just a plain joy to connect with.

Join Joel Zaslofsky as he hosts Warren for a rare chance to connect with us live and potentially have your questions featured, too.

During this free conversation, we'll teach you crucial skills and mindsets like:

1.  Why we struggle to get started with decluttering and how to jump start your plan.
2.  The importance of small steps over big leaps in accomplishing your clutter-busting goals.
3.  What uncluttering is, why it extends beyond physical clutter, and how embracing it may help you feel liberated.
4.  And of course, the five-step plan to fully declutter your home.

More details are at https://marriedwithluggage.leadpages.co/declutter-plan-webinar-joel-z/ and we encourage you to invite others to join us live!
This Hangout On Air is hosted by Joel Zaslofsky. The live video broadcast will begin soon.

I’m grateful to know many folks who deliver every time they have the chance. +Joshua Becker is one of them, and he brought the good stuff for you in his triumphant return to Smart and Simple Matters.

I could seriously do a whole show with just riffs on his Becoming Minimalist blog posts, life experiences, or the amazing people we know. But this time we focused on his new book, The More of Less, and the currents of generosity that flow through it (and him).
This episode features Joshua Becker on why generosity is an act of bravery (even though everyone wants it), how minimalism lets you pursue happiness or fulfillment where you want, and the three layers of clutter ... and how to get rid of each one.

+Courtney Carver just added some Midwest cities to her #TinyWardrobeTour stop list, and I'm stoked that Minneapolis is one of them on June 29!

If you know about Project 333 or still need some help with an overflowing closet, this nifty event could help you a ton (in addition to being a ton of fun for everyone). The +514 Studios space where we'll connect is outstanding as well.

If you're not in the MSP area, here's the list of tour stops she has planned right now (and will be adding to over time): http://bemorewithless.com/tiny-wardrobe-tour/
Courtney Carver is a leader in the minimalist and "Capsule Wardrobe" movement that's taken closets everywhere by storm. She's traveling nationally with her Tiny Wardrobe Tour and is headed to Minneapolis on June 29th. She'll be sharing the hows and whys of implementing Project 333 (the minimliast fashion challenge that invites you to dress with 33 items or less for 3 months) to bring more simplicity, love, and joy into your life. Since starti...

I've received so much from my 4+ years in the ‪#‎Puttytribe‬ – an online community of multipotentialites like me with a diversity of any interest, passion, and skill that you've ever heard of (and plenty that you haven't). And now I and my good friend/creator of the Puttytribe – multipotentialite maestro herself, +Emilie Wapnick – have an agreement for me to be the COO (Connections and Operations Officer) for our community!

I mean, sweet sassy molassy, right?! What kind of a world is this where I get to do work that lights me up, for the people who light me up, and with the people who light me up?!

Practically speaking, I might be doing strategic planning for growth and retention one day, focusing on daily operations the next, helping our internal team be more efficient and cohesive every day (i.e., through systematization of procedures), process improvement, and connecting with our hundreds of awesome members.

Oh, and there will be spreadsheets. Many, many spreadsheets. :)

In other words, my new Puttytribe role and responsibilities are now my work priority. If you're wondering what that means for SimpleREV or Smart and Simple Matters, though, they aren't going away.

I'm celebrating the expanding possibilities to bring people together and you're invited to celebrate, too! And if you're curious about this multipotentialite thing or our paid online community, visit this page for a vibrant look into our world: http://puttylike.com/puttytribe_join/

This SimpleREV-hosted conversation with +Ethan Waldman will explore anything you want about tiny houses. How do you build a tiny house on the cheap? What are the common and most painful mistakes of the lifestyle? Where can you save hundreds of hours on researching your long-term tiny house plans? Ethan can help as he built his own tiny house by hand in 2012 and has been living in it for four years.

Join Joel Zaslofsky as he hosts Ethan for a rare chance to connect with us live and potentially have your questions featured, too.

During this free discussion, we’ll explore what you want like:

1.   Tested tiny house insight from an experienced tiny house owner, builder, and dweller.
2.   What the most common and painful mistakes are (so you don’t make them).
3.   Unique guidance for your situation to make the best decisions for you.
4.   How to build a tiny house on the cheap.
5.   Where to get your tiny house plans, what to look for, and what to do with them.
6.   Tips that can save you thousands of dollars on your tiny house.
7.   Where to save hundreds of hours of research in the planning stages.
8.   How to know if a tiny house is actually right for you.
9.   What the best water, heat, plumbing, electrical, or ventilation systems could be for your space.
10. Whether it's best to build it yourself, with help, or hire it out.

More details are at http://simplerev.com/ethan-waldman-may-2016-tiny-house-chat/ and we encourage you to invite others to join us live!

Two of my favorite people anywhere – +Nazrin Murphie and +Leah Hynes – are moving from Rock Your Purpose Live to The Connection Effect. And I'm so freakin' stoked!

If you care about community, and especially if you want to be a part of creating a hyper-engaged one, you gotta see what these two are up to.

With those words – and Sarah's great first HuffPost article – I'll be connecting with my boys a little differently tonight.
