Abandoned in West Texas

The desert of west Texas isn't the easiest place to survive. The small, abandoned towns +Juan Gonzalez, +Nicolai McCrary , and I drove through on our way to Marfa, TX is a clear testament to that.

Poison Ivy

I had a chance to test out my new Fuji X-T1 for the first time last week.  Little did I know I had some sort of filter turned on that caused my camera to take about 5 seconds to process each shot.  Lesson learned...

Gina Jo

I'm guessing it is a pretty demanding experience to show up to a shoot and have 5 photographers all asking you to do something different.  However, Gina Jo's amazing personality handled it like a charm and she absolutely killed it from start to finish.

Big thanks to +Juan Gonzalez for organizing the shoot.

You are my sunshine...

I don't typically photograph flowers.  However, I had to find something to do while we pulled over on the side of the Texas highway so my 3 year old daughter could go potty...

Train vs Taxi

When planning our move to New York, it seemed a bit scary selling our cars and knowing we wouldn't have our own personal transportation.  Now, after living in New York with the amazing public transportation, I couldn't think of a better way to live.

I had a chance to test out my new Fuji X-T1 for the first time last week.  Little did I know I had some sort of filter turned on that caused my camera to take about 5 seconds to process each shot.  Despite the delays, Gina Jo was absolutely awesome and kept with it until we got the shot.

Thanks again to +Juan Gonzalez for organizing the shoot (and supplying the vodka).

If you missed the last one, you definitely need to make it out for this event!

Get a chance to try out Olympus' lineup of cameras and lenses... and have a drink or two.  Fun times all around.

Is time again to have our good friends at +Olympus back in Austin, Texas. They are bringing their most recent equipment available for us to test. If you are an enthusiast of mirror less cameras you need to attend this event. They promise this is going to be an event to remember.

Our good friends at ABGB Austin Beer Garden Brewing will have an area reserved for us. Get there on time to check your loaner camera out and give it a good try.

Rumors I hear is that we are one of the few people to test some of their newest gear outside a store.

Bring your friends over to network with an awesome group of Photographers in the Austin, Texas area. We geek out about Photography and techniques and have fun having a few drinks.
You don't need to have a fancy camera. Bring your cell phone or older point and shoot. We are not Photography snobs.

You don't have to drink alcohol either. Many of our members do not drink and they still come over for a good talk and networking.

As a Brit this photo encapsulates something I regard as iconic in NYC. I knew it's crazy but after ten visits to Manhattan one of my biggest thrills is getting off the train an elevated subway station (it's usually up in Harlem)

Cat Vs Automatic Food Dispenser | Break.com

It's all over for the food dispenser once the cat learns slamming into it releases extra food.

This is definitely a unique place. First thing I saw when I walked in was a group of people crocheting. Cool place to sit back, relax, and enjoy a drink.

This place is a staple any time Drink and Click hits the east side. Love the back patio and the fact they carry Brooklyn Lager!

I love places that have an outdoor area... and this place has a HUGE one. Great atmosphere outside. Always a fun place to go when on the east side.

The food at Rocco's is amazing. Because of this, the place is understandably always packed for dinner. Don't let that dissuade you though. Get a drink at the bar while you wait for a table on the patio. The views are wonderful.

I'm obsessed with the Thai Chicken Karaage Buns! Whenever I'm at the Liberty Bar, the first thing I do is order some up... and the last thing I do before I leave, is order some more. The food has ALWAYS been amazing.

I originally went to Tacos and Tequila just as a place to meet up with some other photographers before we headed out into the city. I ended up sticking around for a while to have a couple margaritas and some awesome food! The chimichurri beef tenderloin tacos were amazing, and I couldn't get enough of the sauce it came with! I'm looking forward to trying more of the menu as I have no doubt I'll be a regular there in no time.

Great place for a margarita and some good food. Although the lake water is a bit low these days, the view is still great, especially at sunset. Relaxed atmosphere makes it a family favorite for us.
