As seen in my kitchen. This is my first food shot posted in years. I don’t understand the fascination folks have with their meals, most of which I find photographically unappealing. If not for the unexpected character of this fruit, I wouldn’t bother. But…

Love my #chromebookpixel and wouldn't give it up. But I'm curious to see if Apple's big-ass tablet can replace a PC. #ipadpro.
The first thing you notice about iPad Pro is the size. The tablet is ginormous. It's 12.9-inch screen lays before you like a chalk slate—a blank canvas demanding typed text or drawings made with Apple Pencil. Yet something also feels wrong about the thing. During the so-called Steve Jobs era, refined designs were smaller—like iPod nano. Apple is no stranger to larger; 27-inch iMac today or 17-inch MacBook Pro of yesteryear are examples. Perhaps. ...

+Joe Wilcox FYI - I was suggesting the Flop as a better iPad.  And certainly cheaper, what with the entire price less than the "Smartcase" and "Pencil"

Hopefully my sarcasm comes through. But on the chance it doesn't, the post isn't anti-Sanders or pro-Clinton. I mock the news media, and the lunatic differences in how it covers the Democratic and Republican caucuses.

Watching the nauseating talking heads overnight, you'd think that the Donald Trump campaign is over, for his second-place showing among Republicans. National front-runner means nothing, eh? If so-called experts applied the same tone to Bernie Sanders...well, you get the point. Right?

#election2016
Iowans sent a clear message to Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders last night: Pack up your Commie-loving bags and go back to your commune state. In a billowing rebuke, punctuated by thunderous snowstorm, …

+Apple Dystopia Don't want to get into too much of politics here. I can respect your (always thoughtful) views. IMO, there is no difference between western socialism and "Asian(Indian)" socialism. They are just different forms of control.

And I quite enjoyed Shkreli calling members of Congress a bunch of imbeciles, because that is what they really are!

Easier said than done I know, but...

#smartphones #voting
Over the weekend, my 94 year-old father-in-law asked what I would do to assure that every American who could vote would do so. That was an unexpected question, but one I addressed gingerly. This post is my answer restated for a public venue.

Arizona has a good system of counting votes. Mark a ballot with a pen and then the voter personally puts it into the machine to be counted digitally. if they are any problems you can the marked ballots.

Three questions buzzed among investors and around the Interwebs ahead of today's Apple fiscal first quarter 2016 earnings report: Would iPhone momentum remain; how big could be revenues; and what would be guidance for the quarter in progress? Wall Street consensus was 76.54 million handsets sold and $76.582 billion in sales. Actual: 74.78 million iPhones and $75.872 billion revenue. More unsettling: Apple forecasts its first sales decline in 13 y...

Bring on #Amazon #bookstores. And the reasons why...
There is collective head-scratching across the InterWebs about a Wall Street Journal report that Amazon will open as many as 300, or even 400, stores selling books. The company's massive success selling ebooks and the cost and selection advantages of warehousing their physical counterparts make the concept seem nonsensical. I contend that it's brilliant.

Introduction
I am an award-winning journalist, writer, and real Maniac, being born and raised in Caribou, Maine. But I currently live with my immediate family far from home, in San Diego, Calif.

I am an experienced analyst, consultant, editor, journalist, and storyteller. My communication skills are broader than just the written word. I have appeared on CNBC, Fox News, MSNBC, NPR, PBS, and other radio or TV networks or programs discussing technology and its related cultural and business impact.

During the second decade of the Millennium, my main worklife focus is producing original content, which could make you the star. I contend that "every life is epic", and through storytelling show by how much.

I am available for editing, writing, or speaking gigs and can be reached by Gmail, or you can private Circle or Hangout. Be warned, if you want to hire me: My investigative storytelling style is provocative. I want people to think about things from different viewpoints.

They say you can judge someone by their playlist or what they read. I subscribes to:

  • Economist, Nature, and Rolling Stone on iPad
  • New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and Washington Post on web and digital devices
  • Entertainment Weekly, Mother JonesNew Yorker, and Vanity Fair in print, on web, and digital devices

But often the most valuable content comes not from paid professionals but people posting to social networks (hehe, Google+), Medium, and blogs.
