Last night I pointed my Rokinon 7.5mm fisheye towards the sky in my first attempt at astrophotography with my Olympus OM-D E-M5. I was pretty pleased with the results!

Rokinon 7.5mm Fisheye Review - http://www.lessgearmorephotos.com/rokinon-7-5mm-fisheye-review/

I set the lens to its largest aperture (f/3.5), manually focused to infinity and made sure my exposures were less than 30s, as to not have star trails. Once I got home, I pulled the exposures up using Adobe Lightroom, and added a bit of clarity and saturation. Voila!

Super clear evenings in Portland have made for calm, colorful sunsets. This was taken just down the road from me, at Mt. Tabor Park.

One of my favorites from a recent trip to the Oregon Coast.

Some of the best photography is the kind that you don't have to try to hard for, whether it be in the field or at home during post. This was one of those shots. I was just there at the right moment (it helped that we stayed a block from the beach!)

Spent the weekend in Cannon Beach on the Oregon coast and caught this beautiful sunset on Saturday night. First time I've ever seen the sun go down over the Pacific!

Summer has arrived! Yesterday I got a chance to quickly check out Powell Butte Nature Park in southeast Portland and was able to grab this beautiful shot of Mt. Hood from the parking area. Can't wait to see what kind of views this area boasts when I actually start hiking the trails!

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. The Olympus 40-150mm f/4-5.6 is one of the BEST budget lenses you can get for your micro four thirds camera! I popped it on my Olympus OM-D E-M5 Mark II body yesterday and snapped this shot of Mt. Hood on a clear day here in Portland.

If there's one thing I've learned about the weather in spring/early summer here in Portland, it's that it changes rapidly. Sunny days give way to rain showers and cool cloudy days turn into beautiful sun filled evenings. Here was one of those beautiful moments just the other day, when a cloudy sky opened up for just a few minutes and gave way to sunlight at Mt. Tabor park, an extinct volcano just two miles down the road from where I live. Pretty amazing to live in a city and have something this beautiful right down the road!
