I have nothing to say that the author hasn't already said better.
There’s been great fanfare over Sports Illustrated’s first plus-size model, but she is a normal size, has a toned stomach, and ‘real’ women remain absent from our magazines.

The dark side of good deeds.
Food for thought.

Thank you Elon Musk for finally bringing the late Sen Ted Stevens' vision one step closer to reality. ;)

I've never envied Kansas City more. http://www.speedtest.net/result/2721818214.png
Way to go, Verizon... "F Minus" indeed!

Did Google break Chrome browser on Android? Now links don't open in new tab - they replace existing tab ...with no apparent way to backtrack. May be time to investigate Firefox or Opera :(

Why does Google Plus think I'm in San Francisco when I'm leaving Boston? Is the GPS on this Nexus7 THAT bad???

There's more than one "Bridge to Nowhere" The Grand Junction bridge - the single track connecting Boston's North & South stations (geographically separated by just over a mile) via a swing through Somerville, Cambridge and across the Charles River to Allston - is currently out of commission. The preposterous lengths (literally) to move a trainset from North to South station is now roughly equivalent to the Downeaster trip from Boston to Portland Maine. Saving money on the "Big Dig" by not including that N/S Rail Link just keeps paying dividends! #sarcasm

Introduction
This is my vague public profile. I'm not hiding anything. I just don't want anything impolitic I may say to reflect on people and organizations I interact with in my "real" life. I've been involved since the BBS days and remain fascinated by the myriad ways technology shapes - and reflects - our world.
Bragging rights
Nothing to brag about. Conversely, can't really think of anything to be ashamed about either.

I believe that having a trusted mechanic is as important as a doctor or dentist. I have been going to these guys since my friend Julie introduced me to them years ago. They're not close to where I live, but they're worth the trip (or tow) from anywhere. They've kept me mobile for hundreds of thousands of miles. I bought my last car from them and plan to buy my next one from them. They've earned my trust & loyalty. What a pleasant change from many of the clowns I had to but up with before I found them.
