Xorg Voodoo, and It Really Pays to Practice Your Backups and Restores

In the blog entry I made today, I tell you why it's a really good idea to practice, practice, practice for that inevitable time where you will MUNG your system so badly that vital parts of it do not work. Even some "innocent" experimentation with your system can cause a lot of grief, and getting back to normal quickly alleviates a lot of that. Backups really, really help. But just as importantly, if your restore is faulty, it can MUNG stuff even worse.
