Your move: other manufacturers in the budget smartphone category
Motorola's mystery announcement is official, and like we imagined the other day, it is the new Moto E. This time, though, it has 4G LTE, upgrades all around, and an even lower price. I know, how is that possible? Where do we begin…how about with the upgrades? The new Moto E now has 4G LTE, ...

I could probably use this phone with no problem. I wouldn't have a flash and the screen wouldn't even be 720p but a quad-core CPU and LTE is impressive. Also, that battery is pretty big for a phone like that. This phone is actually usable unlike the shitty excuses for "smartphones" that used to be the only option for this price such as the Samsung Galaxy Precedent or HTC Wildfire. shudders

Many more 3rd-Party apps are now integrated into Google Now. Nice to see. Zipcar, Kayak, eBay, Fandango and OpenTable are latest examples.

Note: you'll need the latest Google app (4.5) which is now rolling out slowly.

Have you ever wanted one of those custom etched ingress glasses? Well, tomorrow is your day. Pints are American, not imperial, and $10 each. Air tight jars perfect for candy are $10. There are only 2. Rocks glasses are 7.9 oz, and $7.50 each. Shots are $5 each. $11 shipping in the US for up to 16 shot glasses or 4 pints.
You can even get a custom logo, but there is a fee for setting it up for a stencil that depends on complexity. I reserve the right to tell you it can't be done, or I won't do it if it's too complex. Your ign is free. Long names may not fit on shot glasses, though.
Stencils currently available are:
Anomalies from 13Magnus forward
First Saturday, city name free if it fits
Resistance and Enlightened logos
Resistance and Enlightened hexes
Trekker, Explorer, and Founder

Non-ingress logos also welcome, and a limited amount of blue or green decals available. Price depends on size.

Respond to this post to reserve your glasses.

All orders will ship within a week.

My favorite in DC proper. Philly native and appreciate the quality and rich flavors presented in each of their sammies and other items sold (owned by ex-Philly residents like myself). Beer and a mixed soft drinks (and water, ask for a cup) complement well. Price typically range $8ish for large 1/2 sandwich and $14ish for a whole. Space is underground a few steps and not fancy at all (but clean). Loyalty punchcard offered too. Give this place a try, methinks you'll really enjoy it.

Awesome coffee joint nestled in Dupont Circle. Great coffee and other coffee drinks. Space isn't fancy, evokes properly a basement space with a slight hipster look. Some pastries to purchase, nothing otherworldly but very solid. Nice staff too. Space isn't suited groups, limited seating (please let other patrons sit lol). But that doesn't take away from excellent coffee drinks produced here. They deserve a chance to impress.

Really nice restaurant offering old school huge deli sandwiches and entrees. Prices aren't cheap, but this is Bethesda and the portions given are again quite large. Friendly staff, not formal dining though. Give this place a try if you want quality deli food.

Excellent neighborhood coffeebar. One of my favorites to get strong quality expresso or coffee in DC proper. Usually several coffee types are offered daily from all over the world. Well roasted beans, produces some great coffee. Usually has some biscotti or another pastry type to pair with your drink. Relaxed, Shaw neighborhood atmosphere. Nice touches of exposed brick for decor. Friendly baristas / staff as well.

Good Eastern European beers (rotates over the months from German / Belgian / etc, currently mostly German selections). Food (lunch / dinner) isn't authentic German but has a good selection of pretzels, sandwiches, and some entrees.

Really some of the best pizza in DC metro region, and especially in Montgomery Co MD. Most are disappointing for their Neapolitan pies, but not at PizzaCS. High quality ingredients, give their Bufala cheese upgrade a try. Pizza CS has been certified as official Neapolitan pizza. The certification comes from the Associazione Pizzaiuoli Napoletani (an Italian government arm) and is tough to snag. Nice pre-formatted choices offered. Liked their salads here as well. Clean place and friendly staff as well.

Fantastic creative, under-the-radar sandwich shop in Shaw neighborhood. Themed sammies based on a world cities. (i.e. Paris = a version of Croque Monsuir). Quality bread rolls and other ingredients used. Chill music is usually playing in the background. Some shared tables and wall countertop space to eat, but not a huge place. More ideal in rush lunchtime for order ahead and grab n go. Prices usually in the low teens for whole roll of sammie. I think this is one of the top 2 sandwich places in DC proper (Bub and Pop's being the other). Give this place a whirl :)
