Nev Schulman's own words, from Radaronline.
“My real problem was stealing,” he admits in the new part-memoir, part-advice book. “I stole DVDs from Tower Records, clothing from Ralph Lauren, and a host of other miscellaneous items.”

The following question is for individuals that have created their own business or are in the process of a start up.
Could you have been taught in a class room setting, what you have learned in the process of creating and conducting business? No is consistently the answer I receive, each business is unique in its creation. The challenges encountered are a function of myriad factors and are unique in time. You never know what will transpire upon starting and developing a business.
That being said, I am not knocking formal education or the business of educating. It has its place and I love to surround myself with highly and some not so highly educated people. I would not want to be in a trauma situation and have an unschooled doctor working on me. When it comes to business, computing, math, reading and many other subjects, we have to remember that this is the information age. This type of knowledge is all available out there on the net and even at that old place called the library. All that is required is a hunger for knowledge. A vital addition to formal schooling and in rare cases an optimal alternative is the education obtained by investing time, even spending years with professionals who are top in their field. The following are some phenomenally successful individuals that dropped out or did not attend college: Frank Lloyd Wright, Ty Warner, Steve Jobs, Milton Hershey, Bill Gates, Henry Ford, Debbi Fields, Walt Disney, Barry Diller, Michael Dell, Coco Chanel, Richard Branson and Mary Kay Ash.

As for my education I followed the traditional path to High School but I became self employed at the age of 15 and I have had the entrepreneurial spirit every since. Yes, I have worked for large companies but I feel working for one’s self is more fulfilling. We have such a short time on this earth. If possible let a man’s yolk be his own; its weight and the length of the row, a function of his calling and the passion for which God puts in his heart.
If anyone is interested in the value and product of my education, just ask me a question about a specific subject and I will give you an educated answer; if I do not know, than that will be your answer.
In my life I have come in contact with many people that hold a degree but haven’t a clue on how to run a business. I have also had the privilege and honor to be involved with individuals that hold degrees who have taught and mentored me; learning in this manner was a tremendous blessing that I thoroughly enjoyed.
I am still a student and god willing, forever will be.
