So here's what these are capable of if you treat 'em right.
2013 EX M/T
Averaged 44.5 mpg across 5300 miles (since last oil change).
Peak/best tank mileage 49.5 on 445 miles. Extreme granny driving goes without saying, but no tricks, or deception- genuine closed-loop (there & back) travel. ~85% freeway miles.

Hyper-miling makes me happy. 😎😎😎

I must say, that the intensity of headlights on bicycles has reached dangerous levels.

Of course riders want to make sure they are seen, but anyone facing them is effectively blinded. And in the case where there is more than one, or even worse, if they are in flashing mode... it's like facing a mob of paparazzi.

Cyclists need to get real about safety. If it's at others' expense, the practice should be stopped.

This post is intended to address cycle vs. cycle circumstances. Bright headlights facing vehicle drivers is not an issue.

The event that prompted this post, was when I was cycling on a paved trail, and I nearly ran over a pedestrian that I couldn't see because I was blinded by a oncoming group of cyclists.

For my daily commute it's a case of needing to be seen rather than to see where I'm going. Therefore it's 3 x flashing fronts and ditto at the rear.

@ Matt... Have you research hypermiling techniques? It doesn't take much to get 40 MPG with the CVT. Driving style will make or break you. On a trip I can use eco and good driving technique probably 80% of the trip and go a little harsh by putting it in sport mode and I will still average 40 MPG... I try to convince myself to go for the 50 MPG... But then I tell myself, I bought a damn Hybrid with Sport Mode!!! Use it damn it!!! :) But I use to hyper mile my Yaris with the same size engine, religiously, and averaged 42 MPG. It's not a hybrid... So I know that if I really tried, I could get this car to get 50 MPG... I have been slacking major though... :P

The world's most valuable barn find ever: 60 rare cars untouched for 50 years
Proof that priceless barn finds are still out there comes from France where elite auction house Artcurial has discovered the automotive equivalent of Tutankhamun’s tomb: 60 cars untouched for 50 years on a French farm included four Ferraris (and yes, a Ferrari California Spider), eight Delahayes, a Hispano Suiza H6B cabriolet Million-Guiet, a Maserati A6G Gran Sports and nine Talbot Lagos including four T26s, one a rare Grand Sport Aérodynamique, another a Saoutchik-bodied cabriolet formerly owned by King Farouk of Egypt. They're all for sale.

In this post, we’ll take a look at the +Nomiku Sous Vide culinary device, a neat project that raised more than $750K in pledges from more than 5,000 backers who felt that this particular idea deserved more than the original funding goal of $200K.

Here is the five steps:
1. The Idea
Introduced an excellent idea.
2. Outreach
Reached out to at least 100 “True Believers.”
3. Interviews
Give exclusive interviews to key media outlets.
4. Create a Longtail Campaign
