Very proud of my brother +Mike McCrary who got picked up by XDA. As I was drinking my coffee this morning looking at my cards in Google Now, this was the first article under the Nexus feed.
Learn about the hidden compromises of choosing a Google Nexus device, and why buying a different device might personally be better for you.

Research and Development leads to job creation, economic recovery, and new technologies. During the 1960s, R&D accounted for almost 12 percent of the total U.S. budget. Today it’s just over three percent. Not good.
I've been mentioning R&D in talks and articles a lot lately. And most audiences out of the beltway don't seem to immediately know it means Research ...

Are you using this yet? Some things I like, but some seem odd. I guess I'm just really used to Gmail at thus point. Google Now reminders and OK Google are becoming major tools in my organizational toolbox.

It's a bad day if you don't learn something new.
Introduction
NJ-raised; relocated to Georgia in 1990. Moved to the Balt/DC region for about 7 years. Back in Georgia since 2009.

I'm a researcher by day and night. I love digging into data and learning and then sharing that learning. Hopeful that research can lead to good decisions. I've seen it happen before, but I've been very disappointed lately.

My biggest interests are in environment, science, and education.

Outside of that, I'll do anything I can to be outdoors.

So we went there today to celebrate a couple of birthdays. I ordered the Italian Beef sandwich -- dry and tasteless. Two of my colleagues ordered salads and they looked good and substantial. However, we sat off to the side in the sun (outdoor seating is available and spread out all over) and when the server brought our food over he whined about the tables belonging to another restaurant (after we had been told it was okay to sit there). I speculate he didn't like walking all the way over.

Went on a somewhat busy Friday night. There was one party of 20 people, a few other tables occupied, and that was it. the service was HORRIBLE! Took 30 minutes to put our order in; I had to complain to get someone to come by. Then it took another 30-40 minutes to get our food: Colorado Chili and Shrimp Diabla. The Chili meat was pretty overdone. The chips were also pretty soft. Manager did nothing to make it right -- no free desert, nothing. Been here before, and it's been okay, Won't be returning.

The BBQ pork and cole slaw were pretty tasteless. I also had the peach cobbler, and it was almost totally lacking in peaches and flavor. Service was pretty good, except when the waiter left us waiting 20 minutes for the check. Slopes, about a 10-minute drive away, has much better BBQ.
