Nice for Australia to be among the first countries for Cortana
Cortana, the Windows Phone answer to Google Now voice and Siri, will soon be hitting Australian shores in the form of an alpha version. That of course means it's still in the very early testing stages, but with any luck it suggests Aussies won't have to deal with a service that can't understand ...

Got this email this morning, let out a little 'Squee!'
Foxtel's movie streaming service, Presto (not to be confused with Foxtel Play), has partnered with Google Chromecast to bring its content to the biggest screen in your house. Starting from today, Presto will be available on Chromecast devices, as well as select Android tablets.

Samsung is believed to be on the verge of releasing a premium version of the Galaxy S5, a device with iPhone users squarely in its crosshairs. Is a GS5 with a metal back capable of crushing the iPhone for good? Prolific leaker @evleaks has posted an image to Twitter which he claims are a leaked ...

Do you have friends or family coming over to Android for the first time?
The soaring popularity of phones running Google's Android system is undeniable. Analysts forecast that 80% of the world's smartphones will use Android by the end of this year, meaning you or someone you know is likely to be buying one — maybe for the first time.

Seriously, so creepy
This is an ad for the original Galaxy Gear that we somehow missed until now. It also happens to be one of the more disconcerting advertisements we've seen. It starts harmlessly enough with three young people sitting on a ski lift. You might say this is standard Samsung fare: young people, ...

You'll be surprised at how little some people pay for a LOT of data
Complaining about the cost and service of a wireless phone plan is global pass-time; it seems no one is ever really happy with what they are currently paying for. But maybe your phone plan isn't as expensive as it seems, especially when you compare it to similar plans from across the world.

Having reviewed two different iterations of Samsung's Galaxy Gear, there was something about both of them that has been really bugging us. Why would you put something on your wrist that does exactly the same thing as the phone in your pocket? It turns out Google has been thinking the same way, ...

Being a full-time superhero would be a rewarding career, you'd think, but finding people in need of assistance would definitely be the tricky part. Especially for heroes like Batman: ordinary dudes without the superhuman hearing of Superman or Spiderman's Spidey Senses.

This is one cool app
Google has bought out the makers of app Word Lens and here's hoping we find it next as a default feature of the Android camera. Word Lens is one of those apps smartphones were made for. Hold up the camera on your phone in front of a foreign language and Word Lens will translate what is written ...
