I would love to be able to share between two feedly accounts. Both my girlfriend and I use feedly and I would like to share articles that would popup in her feed.

This is a use case we hear a lot about. We are exploring how to bet address it. In the meantime, one solution would be to create a Google+ circle and share to that circle.

Organizations who allow users to login to your websites or planning it for the future—what do they get for logging in?

- personalized content
- giving history
- ability to change pledge program donation amount/frequently/can cancel
- download tax letters
- Facebook/Google sharing

What types of data do you capture about users who log in?

We're starting to discuss developing our own iPhone and Android app to process donations with a hardware card reader (think Square) and noticed two bullets in the Apple App Store Guidelines:

- Apps that include the ability to make donations to recognized charitable organizations must be free
- The collection of donations must be done via a web site in Safari or an SMS

No problem with the first point; we weren't planning on charging for our app but the second point, "the collection must be done via a web site in Safari or an SMS". That pretty much eliminates the ease-of-use for an app. Has anyone else developed or looked into developing an app and run into this problem?

I believe this might be related to the cut that apps have to give to the Apple Store when donations are being made. Taking that 30% cut from nonprofits would make Apple look awful so they tell would be donation apps to go to the Web when processing donations. Apple can't or won't change its policy. See more at:

Anyone have websites that allow for user registration/accounts? I'm curious if you have issues with bots registering for accounts. If so, how do you reduce/prevent those signups?

Hi Folks!

Joe here from +Mercy Home for Boys & Girls in Chicago. I'd love to hear about what credit card payment processor everyone uses. What's one thing you love and one thing you hate?

Us: Authorize.net
Pro: Easy API integration options
Con: As always, fees are not as transparent as they first appear

I've got to ditto what +Dave Manelski has said already:  Stripe and Braintree are the new trending tools.  Stripe has quite a different way of integration due to its strong usage of JS.  Authorize.net and PayPal Payments Pro (or whatever they decide to call it these days) are the long-standing veterans we recommend at PICnet.  The biggest difference we're seeing in pricing models is that the new kids on the block typically don't charge for automated recurring billing (ARB), whereas the old kids do.  I'm betting this should be changing soon if Strip and Braintree start pulling more marketshare.

Ok, the search for a new database is officially on. Recommendations for good, customizable solutions?

We have:
- 50+ users that need access
- more than 1M active records
- heavy direct mail needs, i.e. segmentation

Zoho is a full enterprise suite that I have implemented into a few non profit organizations we support.  Its a very cost effective solution...

Web Analytics  -

Google just posted an interesting article on their +Google Analytics blog about their new Universal Analytics product and how it can be used for business applications outside of web and mobile apps.

One example they give is to use it to track views of artwork in museums. It's a very cool idea that I hope will get some action with NFPs to help understand their constituents.

Any other ideas of how we could use it to track offline actions?

We've discussed Facebook and Twitter social sign-ins before. Anyone thinking about the new +Google+ sign-in for their website?

Interesting! I hadn't even noticed this. Well - why not? I think it'd be interesting to run all three possibilities in parallel on a really big website and, after six months or so, look at what user preferences are.
