Listening for the Forest - https://goo.gl/fyzSkx

When I tell you that we hiked in the desert of Sedona, AZ, this probably isn't what first comes to mind. It was a refreshing early morning hike for us that was just outside of our hotel in Boynton Canyon.

Hopefully G+ won't shrink and destroy this image. Click it to for a bigger view - I'm loving the shots from this medium format +Hasselblad Xpan camera!

Lacking - https://goo.gl/AeBPsT

Three times now I asked friends to pose for me and given them the motivation to look "homeless and in need of help." All of those times they've come through. +Jake Adams you're a natural!

Welcome to Candy Land - https://goo.gl/TRKMHR

Vernazza was one of my favorite places that we visited in Italy almost two years ago and even with all of the travel that we've done recently, I still miss this place. The views here have been captured by many people in the exact same way and hopefully this shot in infrared is just a little different than everything else out there.

Weathering Heights - https://goo.gl/2nsoUv

As the sun started to rise over my early morning hike, I decided to make my way back from Devil's Bridge. The sun gets hot fast and there was very little shade on my way out. Just leaving the top, I had to take a quick breather while getting one last shot over the valley and this tree that's weathered time in this harsh, rocky, and beautiful terrain.

The Ghost of the Alamo - https://goo.gl/NDfAok

Sometimes you click the shutter and magic happens. Other times, you forget to wind your film back and you get a double exposure that works better than you ever expected.

Tomatoes - https://goo.gl/EP5EpF

Thursday. That means that it's cigar night with the boys...

I shot this one when I first got my Hasselblad 500cm and I figured I could pull off a portrait in a handheld with ISO400 film as long as I had enough light. Luckily, I had a +Lume Cube in my bag that fit the bill perfectly.

The Church of the Rock - https://goo.gl/ep72Rn

This bit of stunning architecture, called the Chapel of the Holy Cross, was the first stop on our trip and I excitedly managed to throw everything I had at it. I've got captures in color digital and film, but I like the far out colors that I got from Infrared.

Cathedral Rock - https://goo.gl/DsrXb6

This is such a big formation that it can be hard to capture it right up close. Luckily, Laura knew of a good overlook that we could check out on our way back to the hotel. This was a perfect vantage point and the tree that was there was a nice surprise to help frame my shot.

Tenacious - https://goo.gl/3z2uDk

At the base of the Kachina Woman formation in Sedona, this tree (or what was left of it) clung to Earth in defiance of the brutal, but beautiful, environment in which it lived.
