I am the instructional coordinator for educational technology in Aurora Public Schools. In my time as a middle school literacy teacher, I taught in a demonstration classroom, where teachers could come to observe my workshop and give me feedback on small group differentiation strategies, classroom management techniques, and the sometimes effective and usually experimental use of 1-to-1 netbooks in a digital literacy workshop. As a teacher-consultant with the Denver Writing Project, I have had the pleasure to lead professional development writing workshops for all levels, from kindergarten teachers to post-secondary teachers. I love my work because I'm always learning, especially when I'm focused on the evolution of digital texts and tools. I'm passionate about supporting teachers through instructional coaching and learning alongside the coaches with whom I'm privileged to work. I'm also a husband and father. I'm always learning there, too. My most recent adventure in education is co-facilitating the National Writing Project's #clmooc.
