Ever wonder what math classes high school students take these days? Well, here you go! The "rivers" show that almost everyone takes Algebra I, with most then taking Geometry (79%), followed by Algebra II (57%). Many stop there, with some "flowing" through classes like Pre-Calculus, Trig, Statistics, and Calculus.

One of the charts shows ALL the recorded course sequences, the other just shows sequences in which more than 0.5% of students completed.

Note: I made this using a nationally representative sample of transcripts for ~12000 high school graduates (HSLS:09, NCES).
