Project Fi in the same general area as yesterday's AT&T test for comparison. At half the price I get 20x downstream bandwidth.

This needs more publicity because people, especially the airport "police", should be going to jail for assault.

I think I'm through with +Amazon.com. Two of my orders in the past month have taken 5 days or more for delivery. This latest I paid extra for next day delivery and it's taking 5 days. Amazon's "gesture of good faith" was to offer me $8.25 is prime membership (one free month). They didn't even credit the $3.99 until I contacted them a second time complaining that I deserved a refund of the shipping cost. I've had a prime membership since Dec 6, 2005 and they offer to cough up a free month. What a joke. If their prices beat retail it might be a good service still, but they charge sales tax and their products aren't discounted vs any other retailer and now they can't deliver packages in a timely manner either. Next time I'll just go to the store.

Edit: According to +FedEx this package was never scheduled for next day delivery because Amazon didn't ship it that way. They chose the cheapest option which was 2-3 day service despite their "guarantee" of Saturday delivery.

Nice to see the justice department going after the hardened criminals of the financial crisis. Maybe we'll see some big bank secretaries taken down next /sarcasm.

A federal judge sentenced Annette Bongiorno to a prison term that was less than what prosecutors sought and even less than what her defense lawyer had requested.

Wow thanks #AT&T! I forgot what dial up was like but now I can relive it on your amazing network.
"AT&T Free Msg: Great news. From now on, your plan will have more data. When you renew your $60 Monthly Plan, it will include 2.5 GB of high-speed data. Thereafter, you will now enjoy unlimited data usage at reduced speeds of up to 128 kilobits/second for the rest of your 30 day term."

Focus on the shareholder and all else will follow. Very disappointing +JetBlue. Haven't you made flying shitty enough already?
The changes are part of a cost savings and management plan company executives rolled out on Wednesday that is projected to increase profits by $400 million per year.

Why I'm leaving AT&T after 3 years. It's 2016 and they're providing dial up speed.

"the First Responders group making appearances at his [Sen Rob Portman (R-Ohio)] office on Capitol Hill on Wednesday. That did not go well at all and they never got to meet with the Senator, at least in the beginning. They simply did not get treated right and were shown to the door."

"The awkward exchange started then, after he repeatedly refused to meet with them and started reciting what has generally been considered "canned verbiage" from the Republican Party about why they will not pass the bill."

This story is disgusting and everyone should read it. Good on Jon for putting a public face to a story that would have otherwise received no attention at all. If the republican party is so concerned with budgets, why don't they add a surcharge on imported oil from Saudi Arabia to pay for the healthcare of these first responders. That is after all where most of the 9/11 hijackers originated.
Former "The Daily Show" host and political satirist Jon Stewart has had quite a busy retirement. In the few short months since he's left the show, he has been very vocal about his support for a 9/11 First Responders bill that would cover their healthcare and rehabilitation costs, which includes cancer patients linked to the terrorist event. Watch him change a Senator's mind about supporting the bill.

Thank you +Instagram for including a link in your email confirmation to indicate that your email address was misused by someone else. I wish more websites would do this (it should be a federal law in my opinion). Now you just need a way to report this user for adding my address again after I've removed it from his/her account.

Some idiot is putting my email address on their Instagram. Another signed up for Kik using my email. But Instagram sends you an email with a link that let's you tell them you didn't sign up and then they disable that account. By contrast I have some other a-hole who put my email on his car insurance in NC and now that company is spamming me with reminders to pay my premium. No link to contact them or rectify the mistake.

It's not that Republicans are against reigning in the NSA abuse. It's just that this bill would have cost their friends in big telecom more money. If the government pays to store all the records then they can cry that the government is too big and it's all because of the liberals! And the Democrats get to play the obstructionist card. Win win all around except for "we the people".

N.S.A. Phone Data Collection Could Go On, Even if a Law Expires

Senate Republicans on Tuesday night used a filibuster to block consideration of a bill to end and replace the N.S.A. phone records program.

It's not a corporate Starbucks. What does that mean? They don't have the easy to access and fast Wi-Fi of most Starbucks stores. They can't scan the barcode from the Starbucks app to pay (they could but they'd have to spend for the scanner), they don't redeem Starbucks rewards, they don't honor free refills for Gold customers, and they don't support ordering from your phone. Basically, there's a real Starbucks just a mile up the road near the movie theater. Go to that one unless you happen to be in town and walking. The staff is very friendly so i take nothing away from them, but I think the ownership could do more than use the Starbucks license without the Starbucks experience.

I was recommended here by a family friend in the landscape design business. I was helped by Mike and he was tremendously helpful. I'm looking to start a seeding program to thicken our lawn and improve it's quality. Mike could have just sold me some seed and send me on my way, but he really advised against seeding right now (except in one area that needs to be established) and instead to apply a pre-emergent to control weeds and crabgrass. He suggested coming back in two months and he'd advise on a program based on how the seed comes up in the area we're establishing fresh. Couldn't recommend these guys more.

The definition of inefficiency. Starting with parking, 6 toll booths are forced into one lane (by moveable cones) for no apparent reason other than to make it take longer. Then the ticketing process. We bought tickets online but purchased preschool passes for our toddlers. You have to wait on the r ticket line to claim these. Then they argue with you about the status of your Florida residency despite providing a property tax bill, electric bill and a cable bill. Why? Because our state issued id is from another state, but the name and mailing address on the bills matched the id. So we waited 25 minutes and blocked a cashier for the only manager (his words) to show up and approve. It amounted to $75 in savings for us but how much wasted time for other customers who couldn't be helped by our booth? The MBAs running the show haven't accounted for this in their spreadsheets. All in all it took us over an hour to enter the park from the time we reached the entrance off the main road. A waste of my time and a lost opportunity for them to have me spend more money inside their park.

LikeTheir definition of "fast" food is different than everyone else's. Coming here feels like you've teleported to Florida.

The food is delicious. One of the better pizza's I've had. Would definitely recommend their sicilian pie. The service is horrendously slow. They accept Seamless which is great but it takes them 20 minutes to acknowledge any order. Ditch the fax machine and get an iPad for that. And no, I don't want to use the phone and be put on hold. At the moment I'm waiting over an hour for a delivery of one pie. My kids are starving and I'm contemplating making them a sandwich so they can take their naps before we go out later. This is the second time I've had a very slow experience ordering here.

Very expensive. An egg sandwich with bacon and a coffee will run you over $6. Go to Bagel Hut instead on 109. Just as good, reasonably priced and they throw in a small coffee with a sandwich. Stuff A Bagel needs to get over itself and realize it's not paying Manhattan rents and then bring their prices back to earth.
