I think I'm through with +Amazon.com. Two of my orders in the past month have taken 5 days or more for delivery. This latest I paid extra for next day delivery and it's taking 5 days. Amazon's "gesture of good faith" was to offer me $8.25 is prime membership (one free month). They didn't even credit the $3.99 until I contacted them a second time complaining that I deserved a refund of the shipping cost. I've had a prime membership since Dec 6, 2005 and they offer to cough up a free month. What a joke. If their prices beat retail it might be a good service still, but they charge sales tax and their products aren't discounted vs any other retailer and now they can't deliver packages in a timely manner either. Next time I'll just go to the store.

Edit: According to +FedEx this package was never scheduled for next day delivery because Amazon didn't ship it that way. They chose the cheapest option which was 2-3 day service despite their "guarantee" of Saturday delivery.

Thank you +Instagram for including a link in your email confirmation to indicate that your email address was misused by someone else. I wish more websites would do this (it should be a federal law in my opinion). Now you just need a way to report this user for adding my address again after I've removed it from his/her account.

Some idiot is putting my email address on their Instagram. Another signed up for Kik using my email. But Instagram sends you an email with a link that let's you tell them you didn't sign up and then they disable that account. By contrast I have some other a-hole who put my email on his car insurance in NC and now that company is spamming me with reminders to pay my premium. No link to contact them or rectify the mistake.

It's not that Republicans are against reigning in the NSA abuse. It's just that this bill would have cost their friends in big telecom more money. If the government pays to store all the records then they can cry that the government is too big and it's all because of the liberals! And the Democrats get to play the obstructionist card. Win win all around except for "we the people".

Senate Republicans on Tuesday night used a filibuster to block consideration of a bill to end and replace the N.S.A. phone records program.

Reading this should raise the eyebrows of any sane person. I think if a fetus is a person with rights then it stands to reason citizenship begins at conception. Something tells me the conservative party of our great nation would not agree and would fight it tooth and nail.

“Born and raised Republican,” Robin Evans, an eBay warehouse packer who was grateful for new Medicaid coverage, said of herself. “I ain’t planning on changing now."

The real assholes are the liberals who will happily pay more taxes to support these schmucks.

Nice to see the justice department going after the hardened criminals of the financial crisis. Maybe we'll see some big bank secretaries taken down next /sarcasm.

A federal judge sentenced Annette Bongiorno to a prison term that was less than what prosecutors sought and even less than what her defense lawyer had requested.

Wow thanks #AT&T! I forgot what dial up was like but now I can relive it on your amazing network.
"AT&T Free Msg: Great news. From now on, your plan will have more data. When you renew your $60 Monthly Plan, it will include 2.5 GB of high-speed data. Thereafter, you will now enjoy unlimited data usage at reduced speeds of up to 128 kilobits/second for the rest of your 30 day term."

Focus on the shareholder and all else will follow. Very disappointing +JetBlue. Haven't you made flying shitty enough already?
The changes are part of a cost savings and management plan company executives rolled out on Wednesday that is projected to increase profits by $400 million per year.

Weren't we just told 3 months ago by the union and Governor that the MTA had a budget surplus and could afford to pay their employees more for the same sub par service? How could they now be in dire circumstances? I'm sorry but the cost of a monthly train ticket is already higher than my monthly car payment. Something is very wrong with this picture. #MTA #LIRR

Facebook is a real piece of shit with horrendous security. I deleted this stupid account three years ago. Yesterday I started receiving emails from them claiming my account was being recovered. One email sent a security code and the next email seemed to indicate that the code was received. Gmail shows no account activity other than from my home IP address and I have two-factor auth enabled so I don't think my Google account was compromised but I changed the password anyway. So I started the process of recovering access to this "deleted" Facebook account. Luckily they let you recover it if you know an old password and thanks to +LastPass I did. Sure enough, the Facebook account was accessed and the profile information updated to a new hometown, date of birth and name. Do I think it was malicious? No I don't. I think Facebook allowed someone else to create an account with my email address, which caused them to reactivate the old account. There was no activity in the timeline other than updating the profile information. I think Facebook just has really horrendous security practices.

Kinda scary. Someone was using my email address for their Facebook account? Considering the government is treating stolen internet data as fact, I certainly hope this person wasn't doing something nefarious. I'd hate for the FBI to kick in my door in the middle of the night over a case of mistaken identity.

" Hi Ale,You have deactivated your Facebook account. You can reactivate your account at any time by logging into Facebook using your old login email and password. You will be able to use the site like you used to."

Very expensive. An egg sandwich with bacon and a coffee will run you over $6. Go to Bagel Hut instead on 109. Just as good, reasonably priced and they throw in a small coffee with a sandwich. Stuff A Bagel needs to get over itself and realize it's not paying Manhattan rents and then bring their prices back to earth.

The food here is always fresh and the service fast. We eat here a few times per year when we visit the family and the owners have always been friendly and accommodating. Very surprised by the few poor reviews.

The service was terrible. We had at least three waiters for a party of 10 but not all at the same time. We had no idea who to ask for service. As a result I ate my meal without a beverage because no one ever came back to check on us. The food was horrible. My steak (sirloin) was over cooked and so burnt on the outside all I could taste was the burned meat. If there was any seasoning on the steak it was completely lost and the meat was very tough. The appetizer, mozzarella and tomatoe salad was over season with pepper (I think) which completely ruined it. The only redeeming quality of the entree was the shrimp scampi.

Eh. They claim to have the best burger on LI. I'd say of was the best between here and Orient Point. Don't bother ordering lemonade. It didn't taste like there were any lemons in it.

Breakfast was amazing. Definitely have the brioche french toast. Any place that serves Vermont maple syrup by default is A+ in my book.
