I covered pretty extensively in the book Run ‘n  Gun Videography–The Lone Shooter’s Survival Guide the secret of interviews and how to edit them. The problem, of course, is that most of the people you’ll be interviewing have either never been interviewed…

Is it just me or does it seem that the IOS software for use on an iPhone is not quite--shall we say--ready? I've seen other reports here of the Drone taking off on its own. Well so far I've had one of my two drop out of the sky on its second flight. After initial take-off it on a fully charged battery and fully charged Gbox, I got an audio warning of 35% battery charge as it attained its initial 15 meter hover. I was about to give it an instruction when it quit and fell out of the sky. They're sending me a replacement for that. So a couple days ago I took my other one to a production shoot at a coal factory that makes charcoal briquettes. Beautiful day and very light winds. Took off beautifully. I took it on up to 35 meters. Looking back and forth to the phone I noticed it was started to veer off slightly, though I had given it no commands. I was busy looking at the map of China (yeah, great) trying to determine where to tap it to send it off in a certain direction. I lost track of it in a few seconds and asked those with me where it was. "It's behind you". I looked up just in time to see it mid a very high-speed spiral. About 3 seconds later it crashed into the factory. Of course the gimbal ejected and with such force that the SD card in the GoPro also partially ejected thus corrupting the video file. I wouldn't have minded so much if I had gotten the ariel footage of the plant. Miraculously the GoPro survived. Anyway, I'm assuming the IOS software is not up to par. Does that seem to be the case with anyone else? If I do get a replacement, I don't think I'm even going to try flying it until I know that the Gbox and its software is fully operational. It really is a brilliant idea. I just don't think the IOS version is bug-free yet. In other words, despite my $1000 investment and two crashed drones through no apparent fault of my own (I successfully did the entire set-up, calibration and all that), I'm still optimistic.

Paid for two plus shipping to UK last November. Indiegogo sent erroneous message that I 'forgot to pay for shipping' which is not true. No response to message through Indiegogo. How do I contact anyone to sort this out?

The new Sony PXW X70 review completed last night. It's 24 minutes long, but there's a 2 minute excerpt from the main review that features a side by side comparison to the active mode stabilisation of the NX30 http://thevideowhisperer.wordpress.com/2014/11/24/pure-frickin-black-magic-sony-pxw-x70/
