My intention this morning was to get a lot of work done. Instead, I sat down at the computer and played with Photoshop. I long have wanted to learn how to create the tilt-shift look in Photoshop. You know the look, that of a miniature toy town or city. So…

My last post talked about how little snow in the Pacific Northwest mountains this winter. It hasn’t improved this week, as the weather has been spring-like all week-long. I can only blame myself as I jinxed the weather by buying a season snow-park pass…

Introduction
I an a freelance photographer based in Tacoma, Washington. I discovered my passion for photography at an early age in the beautiful landscapes of the Pacific Northwest region of the United States, where I was born and raised. My  photographic skills are largely self taught; my formal education is in geology. Though my portfolio contains images from around the world, I hold a special love for the American southwest; naming my company, Seldom Seen Photography, after a fictional character from southern Utah. My photography has won both local and international awards, and has been published by National Geographic, Northwest Travel Magazine, EOS Magazine, and Washington State Tourism, among others. I have also written several travel photography articles and teach photography in the classroom as well as to individuals. You can contact me through this profile, or by visiting my website.
