I love a good guacamole!
Growing up I never ate guacamole because it is just a weird green color and mushy. I always thought it tasted like that paste you use in elementary school. The real problem was I wasn't using QUALITY ingredients, I was using that processed avocado crap that you buy in a bag loaded with ...

Introduction
*Mom of 6 busy home schooled kids, living a life I never expected but find to be wonderful.

*Owner/Designer/Creator of Because I'm Me, since 2008. Because I'm Me can be found online at www.becauseimme.net and often at Southwest Florida craft and art shows.

The quilts I create are of my own design. Very rarely will I repeat a quilt pattern, preferring to let the fabrics I'm working with help decide the direction and look of the quilt. Each quilt has it's own story and each is very special to me.

I have two favorite things when it comes to what I make ... first is the satisfaction and giddiness of seeing the finished product, seeing the vision become reality, and second is the heartwarming joy I feel upon seeing and hearing from the new owners of my projects, learning how the quilt or bow tie or crayon holder has a special place in their world.

What's not to love? This is a family favorite. Waterfront (boat docks - great spot for people watching and sailboat dreaming), inexpensive good food, pet friendly, casual, full of character. A real hidden gem.

I took 5 of my kids camping there the last few nights. The campground is very clean and well run, with enough growth and greenery to make the sites fairly private. The historical site was impressive,a combination of the number of buildings, the information provided, the artifacts, the informed and helpful volunteers, and how well maintained everything was. For us, the best part of the visit was walking the trails. We found what appeared to be randomly placed citrus trees, bamboo, tortoises, and other unexpected finds. We're already planning to go back.
