I'll be queen of the castle!
Can not even express my excitement! Thanks to our Tourism Partner +Shannon Heritage we will spend 3 nights in the private State Rooms at #KnappogueCastle  !
Be sure to follow our #Ireland travels with #IFV2015  on your favorite social network!

Day 9 of our Ireland travels takes us back to the west of Ireland. We'll be making a stop at #KingJohnsCastle   in Limerick, which we haven't visited since the historical displays and museum were updated a few years ago, before heading to our lodging for the next 3 nights.
Owned and managed by +Shannon Heritage , most know #KnappogueCastle   has Medieval Banquets in the evening.
But few know that you can stay in the Castle State Rooms!  I am so excited to share our stay at this historic castle!
Be sure to follow our trip with  #IFV2015 on your favorite social network!

We are counting down the days until our #Ireland  vacation with little previews of our itinerary!
Be sure to follow #IFV2015  on your favorite social network!

Our second day in #Ireland will focus on #Glendalough.
We first visited in 2008 - my girls were so little!
The blue skies didn't stay long - soon they were overcast and chilly winds blew in with icy rain following behind.
This year we are hoping for nice weather as exploring the Wicklow Mountains and the Valley Between the Two Lakes is on our itinerary!

The first stop on our #IFV2015  itinerary - after an overnight flight and getting through customs at Dublin Airport- is Powerscourt Estate. It's a place that I have wanted to visit for a while but never had the opportunity. It will be wonderful to explore the grounds and stave off jet lag!
That night we are staying at Powerscourt Hotel. It's a bit of a splurge- and beyond my normally frugal tendencies - but I'm willing to spend a bit on our first night in Ireland after a long, uncomfortable flight.

Day 6 of our #IFV2015  itinerary!
Don't forget to follow #IFV2015  on your favorite social network!

We haven't visited Cork City since 2005 - and then we only really explored the #EnglishMarket  as the weather was cold with sleet and snow. I'm excited to return!
We will also visit #BlarneyCastle  & Gardens for the very first time!
Thrilled to be partnering with +TravelWifi Ireland to keep all my social streams up to date as we travel!

Be sure to follow #IFV2015  on your favorite social network to join our explorations!

Flashing back again today-  to our visit in 2005. Brenna, my eldest, had just learned to walk and was toddling everywhere.
Day 3 of our Ireland trip takes us back to a couple places she doesn't remember- and places my youngest has never been.
The #RockOfCashel   and #CahirCastle  in County Tipperary are both magnificent sites that I am excited to return to!
Join us (virtually) on our trip! Follow #IFV2015  on your favorite social network!

Go 'Up North' to #Hayward   #Wisconsin  !
Where else can you climb inside a 2 story Muskie?
Or see a wildlife museum inside a bar?

To avoid high land taxes Irish estate owners removed the roofs of country houses. Castle Caldwell, in the heart of Caldwell Forest, was quickly reclaimed.

Unrepentant Ireland traveler, new RV owner & best mom ever (according to my girls).
Introduction
Jody Halsted has been blogging since 2004, when she became a stay at home mom to her eldest daughter. As frequent travelers, Jody and her husband heard "You can't travel after you have a baby." When internet searches for family traveling turned up results for Walt Disney World and similar vacation spots, Jody began sharing her family travel how-to's in her first travel blog, Have Kid Will Travel.

In 2010 Jody launched FamilyRambling®, a website designed to inspire family travel, provide tips to make it easier and share first hand trip reports.

In 2011 Jody began sharing her love of family travel in Ireland by launching Ireland With Kids, a website designed to promote family travel in the Emerald Isle.

Jody also writes for various online and print publications.

Jody is active in social media, which helps her assist traveling families- no matter where they virtually hang out.
