The index status tool is great to use, especially when tweaking the site. Just one of the great tools in the Webmaster took kit!

Google Knowledge Graph has been extended to Australia as of today.

How will it impact search results?
Now, when you conduct a search for something that could have two or more meanings, Google will present the one it finds most relevant to the right of the SERPs.

The example they use for Australia is searching [chiefs]. This search gives you a knowledge graph of the Kiwi rugby team that won the Super 15's this year (yes, we found it funny that they used a NZ team for an Australian example!)
Google as provides the suggestion that you may have been searching for the US American Football team, the Kansas City Chiefs.

Search some of the following to see it for yourself
- Rod Laver
- Killers
- Richmond

Comment below on any cool knowledge graph searches you've found!

http://techcrunch.com/2012/07/17/square-google-wallet-have-mobile-challenged-paypal-shaking-in-its-boots-enter-card-io/#tabs-crunchbase-1

The future of money is coming, and it acutally is shaping up quickly!
Why use dongles / QR codes, etc., when you can just scan, scan, scam? These changes are set to move at an accellerated rate, as influencial companies get competitive!

#paypal   announced today that it has acquired card.io, its partner company that allows developers to use a smartphone to capture credit information.

Ferguson  (+PayPal ) writes that they joined to “accelerate innovation at a scale,” as his team prepares for competition with major players like Square and Google Wallet and minor upstarts like Venmo.

How comfortable are you with this potential change to how we use currency?

Break Down:

PayPal +PayPal
PayPal is an online payments and money transfer service that allows you to send money via email, phone, text message or Skype.

Square +SquareUp HandsUp
Square is a revolutionary service that enables anyone to accept credit cards anywhere. Square offers an easy to use, free credit card reader that plugs into a phone or iPad.

+Google Wallet

Woz dropping some gems over at Gizmodo right now: "If you have college courses in CS, buy the books and spend day and night the few days before class going through the books and taking notes and answering questions and programming examples before the first class even starts. If you really want to do this in your life, that's what you should do, not just wait for the education to be handed you. Those who finish at the top will always be in high demand. You can learn outside of school too but you have to put a lot of time into it. It doesn't come easily. Small steps, each improving on the other, is what to expect, not instant understanding and expertise. " (emphasis mine)
