If you haven't already done so, please consider signing the petition to stop social media cutoffs and closedowns: http://action.openrightsgroup.org/ea-action/action?ea.client.id=1422&ea.campaign.id=11632
Save our social media! Stop cutoffs and closedowns. Prime Minister David Cameron announced that social media could “be used for good or ill” and therefore would “look at whether it would be right to s...

And while you're revelling, you might want to keep an eye on the deadlines you had set for today.
Chris Brogan originally shared:

Tech is the Bridge

A bridge spanning a river can save travelers hours or days. Secondarily, it might be beautiful and technologically advanced, but the bridge isn't the purpose of travel. It's a tool.

Marvel for a while at how the bridge improves your journey, but then, get back to traveling. Enjoy the path, but revel in the destination.

I'm in everso slight agreement with him. Journalists should be able to use a public interest defence to break the law.

The Dowler case is inexcusable; unless the journalists were convinced that the police weren't following all the leads they could and felt exposing the police's failings were the best way.

Of course, I'm of the opinion that journalists should open themselves up to the same scrutiny as they impose on others. Write a piece on the danger of drugs? Better submit a urine and hair sample first. Writing about a politician's infidelity? Let's have a list of your exes first.
