While you prepare for three days of BBQs, beach days, and quality time with family and friends, remember that Memorial Day weekend is also a great time to save cash on stylish clothing and accessories you'll wear all season long. The best part: most deals are already available online. Ready, set, shop!

It’s not unusually for women’s hemlines to dramatically rise and fall from minis to maxis from season to season. And last summer women’s shorts were so tiny they practically resembled underwear. It seems like guys have had it easy in terms of baring their legs, with the majority of shorts clocking in at the same comfortable, conservative, knee-cap grazing length. But after further investigation, the Wall Street Journal found that men’s shorts hav...

Earlier this year, Illinois became the 50th state to legally allow some degree of concealed weapons. The Northwest Herald reports that 40,000 Illinois residents already have received concealed carry licenses and state police are anticipating thousands of others to apply. Ready to cash in on the trend, Chicago designers are already coming up with creative and stylish ways for interested parties to hide their firearms.

With seemingly endless shelves of colorful cosmetics, why is it that you can never find just the right shade of red lipstick? Or the perfect bronze eyeshadow? it's not like women haven't tried them all. According to a report from IBISWorld, consumers spent $433.4 billion on beauty products in 2012, and $932 million on makeup alone. As a result, the beauty industry spends billions on research and devolopment, advertising, and marketing to create t...

When it comes to your summer beauty routine, three little letters hold a lot of importance: SPF. Over two million people are diagnosed with skin cancer every year in the United States, and if you’re going to be outdoors in the sun this summer using products that contain SPF is the best way to protect yourself. Wearing SPF also helps drastically with things like wrinkling, aging, and sun spots. A large variety of makeup like foundation, powders, B...

It’s not unusual for young girls to mimic celebrity red carpet looks for their own proms, but 16-year-old Alexis Carter went the non-traditional route for her Hollywood-themed school prom last week at Digital Harbor High School in Baltimore, Maryland. Eschewing the traditional glam gown, Carter wore a black, plunge-neck jumpsuit inspired by a nearly identical green Alexandre Vauthier ensemble her idol Rihanna wore to the Echo Awards back in 2010...

When it comes to the Kentucky Derby we care about two things: which horse wins and who had the best hat. The hands-down winner this year was Olympic figure skater Johnny Weir who served as a commentator for this weekend's big event. Weir and fellow pro skater Tara Lipinski were down at Churchill Downs in Louisville, Kentucky providing fashion commentary for NBC, but it was his own feather and pegasus-adorned headdress that drew the most fanfare. ...

I originally went to Daniel Tahany and City PT because I saw it had 5 stars and incredibly positive reviews on Yelp. After an incredible experience I too will be leaving a 5 star review. I would give 10 stars if I could. This past winter I slipped on ice, breaking my ankle in three place requiring surgery. I had a metal plate and pins put in and was feeling pretty down about it. I am young, active, and used to wearing heels to work and events, but I could barely get in and out of my 5th floor walk up apartment. I was dreading my prescribed six weeks of PT, but my whole outlook changed after one session with Dan and the staff. They are very warm, nurturing, helpful, and happy to help you understand your injury and push you to get well fast. I had to relearn to walk and go up stairs! But soon I was back on the beach and dancing at my friends wedding. Every day I had PT I truly looked forward to going after work and left feeling pretty positive. I asked my doctor for additional sessions, and finally after about 4-5 months my insurance wouldn't cover it anymore. Not being able to go back was actually incredibly sad for me. Even though I was mostly better, I would love to still be going. Now I've returned to regular workouts and wearing heels (albeit low sturdy ones to be safe) with no issues. I have so much gratitude towards Dan and the staff and have been recommending City PT to everyone I know. I can't speak highly enough of the team. Trust me, you won't find a better, nicer staff to help you recover quickly.
