WE SPENT A YEAR DOCUMENTING GREAT GRANDFATHER'S COAL CITY AND GREAT WESTERN MINING COMPANY FOR THE HISTORIC PANELS. I FINALLY GOT TO MEET THE OTHER GREAT GRAND DAUGHTER WHO HELPED MY SISTER LOCATE MANY IMPORTANT DOCUMENTS AND PICTURES FOR THIS PROJECT.
Here she is again, a Nanchang CJ6A, with a Go-Pro filming from the wing. We are going to check on my cows and then land at Tavaputs for lunch! Now, this has got to be a bucket list item -- even if I never thought of it before.
This is going to be awesome, if the weather will just cooperate! Somehow, I just cannot force myself to tell the rain to go away after two years of drought and the worst first half of any year I remember in farming. So we are just going to say that blue skies would sure be nice for the visit of this little darling! I need to find out if she has a name.
I am a true product of my immigrant/pioneer heritage. I love Southeastern Utah and the code of the Old West. We have many issues affecting our way of life and I believe that sharing a meaningful dialectic about our culture, our lifestyle, cattle ranching, the environment, our food chain etc, will open the door to mutual understanding.
