Very convenient Goodwill drop-off center right off the I-5 at La Costa Avenue with drive-through service. Pull into the "Park and Ride" parking lot. Go straight to the end, then circle around to the side. There's usually a short line of cars (2-3 at most). When it's your turn, they will come to your car, take your donations, give you a receipt and you're on your way. It's a good cause too.

Very popular outlet mall. It's part of the "premium outlet" group, so if you're familiar with them, you'll have an idea of the types of stores. My favorites are Carter's, Brooks Brothers, Le Creuset, Ecco and the soft pretzel store. If you're making a day of it, there are some good casual lunch options which are all conveniently located in the same area. There are also a few full service restaurants across the street. Parking can be challenging during popular times. If you can get there before 11:00 am on week ends, there should be ample parking available.

This is a delightful local market where you can find high-end gourmet items mixed in with pantry staples. They offer an extensive selection of prepared items. It's a popular spot where you can pick up a lunch to enjoy at the tables on their outdoor patio. On the weekends, they set up a tent outdoors where you can pick up BBQ items such as their marinated Tri-Tip, known to locals as "Cardiff Crack". You can also buy the Tri-Tip at their butcher counter to cook at home. Great selection of bread, cheese, beer and wine.

On a slow summer Sunday evening, I enjoyed a quiet dinner at what I imagine is a lively pub at other times. Parmesan Crusted Walleye was on the specials menu and being in from out of state, I took this as an opportunity to enjoy a Minnesota favorite. This turned out to be a very good idea. It was excellent, both in flavor and presentation. Honestly, I wasn't expecting something presented so artfully. The indoor space is spacious with what I would describe as an opulent 1920's theme. There are also outdoor tables. I recommend the food.

Great neighborhood park with two play structures and plenty of winding paved paths to practice bike and scooter skills.

There's something for everyone at this delightful museum. The artistry is inspirational. The museum is a tribute to craftsmanship of all forms with a focus on miniature versions of trains, airplanes, cars, boats, merry-go-rounds, buildings, houses and anything else you can imagine. The museum includes a working machine shop which has demonstrations every day at 10:00 am, Noon and 2:00 pm. The exhibits themselves are inspirational as is the story of Joe Martin, who set up the foundation that supports the museum.

This regional mall has Nordstrom's, Macy's, Sears and an impressive compliment of specialty stores. It was updated recently with outdoor seating. Very nice atmosphere and crowded. Nice food court built overlooking an indoor ice rink. For the toddler set, there is a sweet playground between Macy's, Stride Rite and a baby- friendly restroom. It's currently undergoing a massive expansion (2016) making parking more of a challenge.
