Love BiteSMS, yet I like the silent feature and stealth mode on Auki.  The feature I like most about BiteSMS is the ability to schedule text messages in the future.

Soon they will be making another type of video for the Google Glass people multi-tasking while driving, because they figure they are doing the head's up display thingy.

DO NOT USE THIS GUY TO REPAIR YOUR TV: Andy came to my condo on time.  My TV would only intermittently power on.  He did some voltage readings on my LG 50PX950 and basically said that I should wait for my TV to just fail completely. He was unable to diagnose the problem (most likely the Y-Sustain board) after spending 25 minutes on the job.  I gave him $25 for his sub-effort.  Another repair person came over an hour later and did some real testing and ruling out, and he did not ask for any money upfront.  He will bring the correct Y-SUS board and put it in and at that point we will pay for parts and labor.  Exactly what Andy should have offered to do.

An unexpected disappointment while dining at the Drake Hotel #Toronto. Underdone scallops that were not seared (as promised on the menus), chewy/rubbery lobster, nearly raw baby potatoes, and a general lack of love or care put into the food. It was so bad that the manager comp'ed the above mentioned and apologized. Yet the executive chef (Ted Corrado) was present in the kitchen! #fail #Icanmakeitbetter #learnhowtocook #diningripoffs

Went for dinner on Tues April 8 2014. The Drake is just down the street from us, and although we prefer it for drinks in the summer on their upstairs patio, we thought we would give it a chance for dinner. We were wrong in our thinking. The only item that was passable were the BC oysters. Our main dishes were an overwhelming disappointment. The Drake just celebrated their 10th year anniversary. It would be interesting to see if the kitchen survives in this manner for even another 12 months with their lack of attention to food quality and detail. Pros: Bodgan Pyasta is very knowledgeable about body mechanics, anatomy, and massage therapy. He took the time to explain and help diagnose my back problems, and provided me with exercises and insights on how address my particular situation. He has strong hands, and great technique as a RMT. I highly recommend him for a deep tissue or sports massage. Cons: The man who answers the phone did not address us or make eye contact while he was talking on the telephone when we first got there. He could have smiled and been a bit more service oriented, after all we are potentially paying customers. After my very good massage with Bodgan there was a lot of staff related activity at the desk, and I wasn't sure who was running the show anymore. I was not inclined to book another appointment with the staff at that moment. A bit more professionalism would have been a good thing. I'm only going there for Bodgan. If he went elsewhere, I would go there.

Not amazing by any standard. Just consistently good seafood or beef cantonese chow mien, and a few other dishes. The $35 ginger lobster was chewy and not sweet. You'll get more food when you dine in as opposed to having it delivered from Orderit.ca.

I was a great place to work out, because it felt more like a spa. However, it is in transition from being The Yorkville Club into the Equinox at Yorkville. I'm no longer a member, because the transition has been so painfully slow, and the gym now looks like any other gym that has seen better days. I'm working out at Hardcandy Fitness (Madonna's gym) on Yonge. It is massive, beautiful, bright, brand new equipment, and feels less like a gym, and more like your own big play room. This place is so big, that it is never too busy, even at peak hours. The only down side is there is no validated parking in the attached underground parking lot. If the still to be completed Equinox in Yorkville is anything like the other Equinox's in North America, I'll most definitely be back (because of the free underground parking).

Went to Gusto 101 with a party of four on Nov 12th 2013. Here are the pro's and con's of the food we ate: We had the Escarola and Insalata a-Gusto salads. Both were very light and tasty. The bruschetta Guanciale e Taleggio was an inoffensive warm heap of spinach on a crusty piece of bread, although the thinly sliced beef cheek was way too tough and bland. The Branzino alla Griglia was not really to my liking; the sea bass was overdone and flavourless. The Pollo al Mattone was tender, but served with rapini (I don't like rapini, but my friend does). The Risotto al Frutti Di Mare was a good tasting risotto. Finally, we had a dessert sample platter. Of the four desserts presented, the Sticky Toffee Pudding and the Tortino di Mele were 5 star winners! We sat upstairs and the ambiance was young and trendy. Our server was Italian and full of enthusiasm (forgot his name) and tried to sell us a bottle of the house oil that came with the free starter bread. We went right at 6pm and it wasn't busy, but an hour later it was hard to see an empty table. Overall, I would go back for the dessert in a heartbeat.

The jerk chicken was good. It was oven done, but the spices were just right so it replicated the the grilling in a barrel taste. However, that's all I can say about this place. We ordered their food from "JustEat' and everything but the jerk chicken was a disappointment. The oxtail was not tender enough, or flavourful enough. The festivals tasted like they had been stored near a smelly old sock, and the unripe yellow plantain was boiled and then fried, or something weird. The oxtail and jerk chicken came in containers with rice and peas, and it really was filled more with rice and less with meat and sauce. The rice and peas tasted like they had been taken from a pot cooked the day before. A disappointment overall.
