Who are the people in my "neighborhood"?

In other words...how many of you have a home within the territory of this map?  http://cl.ly/image/121P332z1C29

Clearing some (dead) trees for the future site of either a greenhouse or a gazebo or some spectacular mutant hybrid. EXCITING!

I was stuck behind this guy for several miles, going 20 mph on a no-passing road. When I showed this photo to Kelly, he said "that's going to be beef!"

All the trees in chicagoland are dressing up with their beautiful fall colors; this one was much more dramatic in person than you see in this photo.

Really good tamales, and excellent chili, too. We each got the 3-tamale plate, which wasn't on the menu, and it's a good value for a lunch, if you want more than just tamales. If you get the plate, you can get queso as a side, but you don't get tortilla chips... ask for chips!

Fine dining Thai! Great food, from the crispy egg rolls, to the flavorful and balanced Tom Yum soup, to the delicious entrees. I had the eggplant special. We were sure we wouldn't finish the generous portions, but we couldn't stop eating, LOL. We were sure that our server had to be the owner because he was so attentive and gracious. It's a little spendy for thai food, but SO WORTH IT. I'm not from there, so I'm glad to have found it through Yelp, and figured I'd spread the love on Google, too.

Disappointed. Chose this place because they accepted dogs and I expected to use the kitchenette. The kitchen is meagerly appointed, with cheap equipment. The sink was stopped up and wouldn't drain when we arrived, so I had to get the maintenance guy to unclog it. That lasted one day. The first fridge didn't work at all. They traded it with the one next door, which worked, but it opens the wrong way. (that's a hassle when you're there for so long.) The one they replaced it with was old, so it was incredibly noisy and ran all day and night. We asked them to replace that one too, but they never did. The air conditioner leaked water on the carpet, so there was always a wet area. We told them about it, but they didn't do anything. The whole time you're there, the staff basically ignores you unless you keep complaining. We were there for two full weeks but the room was never serviced once. Cheap, yes...and you get what you pay for. Wouldn't choose this place again.

It's nice to be in a hotel room that makes you feel comfortable. If every hotel was like this place, I'd be such a happy traveler! Very impressed with the room (clean, spacious), the staff (so friendly and helpful). They excelled at the basics, like the bed & shower were great. The food for the evening snack and at breakfast were surprisingly good... everything about this hotel was just right. The fact that they accept dogs was the reason we chose Drury Inn, but even if we're not traveling with the pooch, I'd choose to stay with this chain again.

If you need a pet-friendly hotel, this Motel 6 is a good choice. The room is spartan, but tidy and spacious. There's a big TV, a good work/dining table, and a comfy bed... but that's pretty much it. And I love that there's no carpeting! As an aside, we went to two nearby restaurants while staying there, a wonderful Thai (Sarikas Thai Cafe - spendy but so worth it!) and really good Tamales (Mama Rosa Tamales - great chili, too.) If you drive the other direction, into town, there are a lot of cute shops.
