The mostly cool history of the IBM mainframe.   Brings back a lot of great memories of my first 9 years at IBM.   I have to dig through my stuff to see if I still have my S/390 announce coffee mug.

Google Auto-Awesome #twinklefail  reminds me of a pre-migraine  headache aura.

It's pretty obvious now that the sparkle is looking for a Christmas tree shape and brighter light around it, regardless of whether or not the actual tree has lights on it.  This will probably work a whole lot better once we put the lights on.

This is a pretty interesting look at how even with the best of our big data models, weather forecasting is a pretty inexact science.    Tonight's blizzard of the century could bring 6 inches or maybe 20-30 inches to our area.
