I've finally finished the main story of Tales of Xillia, and all I can say is: this has been one of the best RPGs I've played in the last year (or two). The story didn't feel generic at all and was pretty mature and solid. It was neither mind-blowing nor amazing, but it was still impressive nonetheless.
The characters is where this game really shines, in my opinion. The many interactions between your party members as you travel, known as skits, are quite funny, serious at appropriate times, and give a lot of insight into each member's personality and character. The antagonist side was also very well-done and had some pretty memorable characters.
Combat was fun as long as you change up your moves as you fight and not stick to just one skill. You can control only one character, but you can easily switch to another in the midst of battle. There are 7 different characters to choose from with each having his/her own combat style, which really helps if you're looking for some diversity.
Music wasn't bad, but it wasn't memorable either. I think +Stb Hernández
mentioned this before.
The customization was a big plus for me. Being able to dress up the characters, changing their hairstyles, and adding accessories made me enjoy looking at them during cutscenes and battle.
This game makes me want to play some of the other Tales games (Abyss, Graces F, etc), which I've heard were better than Xillia. I'm definitely looking forward to it. Anyways, that's about it from me.
