‘New Rembrandt’ is a 3D-printed painting made by software that distilled the features of a Rembrandt.
Portrait is not a lost work by Dutch master but a 3D printed painting made by software that distilled the features of a Rembrandt

Telling young people to discover their true selves causes confusion and anxiety. Better to follow Confucius, who knew that our identities are in constant flux.

Actually the person proposing the new emoji had no idea who Stephen Colbert was (http://time.com/4270710/colbert-emoji/), but “Colbert emoji” is still a perfect description.

Vision research over the past 30 years has gradually proven that forbidden colors — reddish green and yellowish blue — are real, though some scientists still don't believe it.

Watched the second half of the NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship. Wow! If I were rooting for either team, I probably would have passed out from anxiety. That was an amazing finish.
The national championship game ended on a buzzer-beater -- but it was so much more than that.

We lost three extraordinary talents last week: comedian Garry Shandling, actress Patty Duke, and architect Zaha Hadid — all only in their 60s. Way too young. 😢

I’ve never understood how stock buybacks is a good use of capital. All it does is manipulate the P/E ratio.
A company’s overall profit growth is unaffected by share buybacks, $6.6 billion since 2008 in Yahoo’s case.

A lot of such investment is so poor that buybacks (or dividends) are better ROI. A good business that generates a lot of cash will use some of that cash to (re)invest, but will also recognize when expected returns are no better than income divided-by market cap (where "income" ignores accounting fictions).
