All right, stop! Stop whatcha doin', 'cause I'm about to ruin the image and the style that you're used to ...from your childhood. And by that lyrical co-opting we mean The Muppets in a brand new parody video sure to make you — in the very least — scratch your head and chuckle. Because some things are just so wrong they're right. They make no sense in theory but are perfect examples of Internet nincompoopery once realized. Such is the case of Mylo...

I really like NdGT, but sometimes he feels like that annoying friend who interrupts and over-talks everyone. Almost like he wants to show everyone up... almost. I bet he was a handful when he was a kid.

Water is heavy--ask anyone who screwed up the Ice Bucket Challenge. And California and the rest of the West Coast have precious little of it. The water is so depleted, it's not weighing down the earth's surface--and geologists have measured a rise of up to 15 millimeters at GPS stations across the West.

I still want journalists/investigators to look at what percentage of these shooting victims are poor? I think that will tell a more accurate story about the problem. The poor in this country are a commodity used to help fund the police state and the for-profit prison industry. The problem is less about race than it would seem because it just so happens that a percentage of poor in this country are disproportionatly also minorities. We can't systematically train police officers to arrest/detain/harass people in order to maintain the revenue stream that comes into the department as a result of those actions. With a for-profit prison system, who do you think will end up in prison? The ones who can't afford to defend themselves in court or those so discriminated against that any defense they can afford will be ineffective. The poor and minorities will get the worst end of the deal when municipal profit from prosecutions is allowed to take place. Don't believe me? Check the stats; it's already happening.

"This is the most most heinous thing I've learned in my two years compiling Fatal Encounters. You know who dies in the most population-dense areas? Black men. You know who dies in the least population dense areas? Mentally ill men. It's not to say there aren't dangerous and desperate criminals killed across the line. But African-Americans and the mentally ill people make up a huge percentage of people killed by police."

A few days ago, Deadspin's Kyle Wagner began to compile a list of all police-involved shootings in the U.S. He's not the only one to undertake such a project: D. Brian Burghart, editor of the Reno News & Review, has been attempting a crowdsourced national database of deadly police violence. We asked Brian to write about what he's learned from his project.

Horrible. Just horrible. They have a LOT to learn to compete with Disney properties.
